Polak?

my bet is that he will play on next year but will be dropped after his contract expires, shame to see him go though he's been through so much

yep thats where Im putting my money. Hope he gets game time and hope he shows enough to earn extension. That said - where the hell are we going to put him? Surely not rucking or has his VFL rucking been that good? - didnt think so.

He did more than enough in his first season and a half. His first season was pretty good and second season not bad. Not easy coming to a new club and hitting your peak straight away. He has plenty of time to get his game back to where it was 15 months ago. Hasn't lost any pace judging by his game against the Hawks. Just needs to get his marking confidence back. He's 194cm and can fill a hole in defence or up forward. I think Polak and Schulz will be rotated in and out of the side next year filling the same role.

he has yet imo to have an afl season that is acceptable.
his first season with us was in fact his 6th he was bitterly disappointing at fremantle the only decent season he had was his first.

slow poor below his knees very reactive always third man up and for a bloke his size always pushed out of contests to easily.to top it of hes a poor kick couldnt kick a goal to save himself.
ya know his first season with us was probably the peak. but its easy for most to get kicks floating around loose in defence.

imo he played some good footy for freo when given a run in the ruck. in all honesty would probably give him a go in ruck before pattison now that aint saying much. if we are honest we would be demanding both go after all both are out of contract and we need to of load at least two more.these two are it because of contracts.
if we are honest we all know tese two are not the answer moving forward.

I followed him a bit a couple of years ago and thought his field kicking was one of your best...It was just his goal kicking that was lacking...Kinda like Tarrant.. Also he was always one of your best in disposal efficiency.. Though being a defender he didn't get it alot...And I thought he made good decisions... not game changing just doing his part, keeping the chain alive.

Being 194 cm fairly quick( and he actually looked quicker those last 2 games), The question has to be his health and can he function under severe physical and stamina pressure that is required for the AFL of Today...... And has/is the injury preventing him from getting to that point...in addition to getting back his touch and skills he had before..
