What? If there's really no criminal conduct then the people responsible for the purchase have mental disabilities, are not fit for any office, and need to be sacked right now. What an absolute disgrace.

That would make the story less interesting if the land was valued closer to the price and a valuer was just hopeless

So they aren't crooks, they are just insane.

Like other crimes, they should not be admonished so much as permanently locked up for everyone's safety - if they know not what they do then they are just as likely to do it again.
