No doubt the pillock will be back with further "proof" about the entire nation if this story develops. Doesn't sound good anyway.

HUGHES HUNTED AFTER DEATH CRASH
By David Stringer, PA News

Detectives are hunting West Brom striker Lee Hughes, who is accused of running from the scene of a road crash in which an elderly man died.

Hughes is alleged to have fled the scene following the crash close to Coventry city centre.

The 27-year-old is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries, but has been urged by officers to contact his nearest police station.

Police said that his silver Mercedes CL55 coupe was in a collision with a Renault Megane as it turned into Pickford Grange Lane.

A West Midlands police spokeswoman said: "A man aged in his 60s who was a rear seat passenger in the Megane died from his injuries and his wife, who was also a passenger, is currently in Coventry and Warwickshire hospital with a broken leg.

"The male driver suffered a broken pelvis and another male passenger suffered bruising."

She revealed there were five men in the Mercedes, which was involved in the accident just after midnight.

"The male driver of the Mercedes left the scene with one of the passengers, three other passengers remained at the scene and inquiries are on-going to find the driver," she added.

"We would urge him to come forward and to contact his local police station."

Third time in a space of over a year that a player has gotten in trouble for a driving offence of sort- Gillingham's Marlon King did time, while Villa's Lee Hendrie apparently got a year's ban from driving.

And let's not forget Kieron Dyer's DUI when he drove into the Tyne bridge and the assault accusation after a drunk groupie 'opped into his motor and had to be forcibly removed by Carl Cort while he was reprezentin' [sic] out the front of a club on Quayside ;)
