Of power demand totaling 69.0 gigawatts (GW) at 3 pm on the 12th, for instance, just 0.7 GW was provided by solar energy, 1.0 by onshore wind power and 0.4 offshore. At noontime on the 14th of December, 70 GW were consumed, with 4 GW solar, 1 GW onshore and somewhat over 0.3 offshore wind. The Agora graphs make apparent that such wide-ranging doldrums may persist for several days.

I guess I'm meant to type this text over an image of a celebrity, so it becomes oh so more memey and persuasive:

What would you say if I told you each wind turbine needs 225 tonnes of coal to produce?
Let’s test some of the anti-coal crusaders’ claims with some objective facts.

First, it is claimed that coal is a dying energy source and its use is being phased out. Not so. According to the BP Review, over the decade to the end of 2014, coal use grew by 968 million tonnes of oil equivalent. That is 4 times faster than renewables, 2.8 times faster than oil and 50 per cent faster than gas. That’s hardly justification for a requiem.

I suppose the counter argument is that eventually we run out of coal. So a rational approach is to use the coal energy to build renewable energy sources. Unless we will run out of wind or sun. However I don't have a good cartoon to post.

Perfect example where even if you don't agree is funny.
This whole issue confuses me. I have been watching maddonas movies on youtube. In one scene in a restaurant, William Defoe asks her who in the room does she want to root tonight. She wouldn't say because she hadn't told him yet. In the movie she was promoting the very culture she's mad at Trump about. Do as i say, not as i do. is everyone so phuqing stupid they cant see through this bullshit?
