So Tehan wants people to gradually be removed from welfare altogether. Clearly has no clue about what the purpose of our welfare system is. How does he expect aged pensioners to transition off they system, for example? Or someone with a permanent disability?

His defence of the cashless welfare system also seems to be little more than ‘la la la la la it’s working perfectly la la la la la’.

Gazzola really had it right with his "parasite and embarrassment to the Labor movement speech"

What's the spousal equivalent for apple not falling far from the tree?

ARE you still wondering how Hillary Clinton, a competent, intelligent and if anything over-qualified woman, managed to lose the presidency to a compulsively dishonest reality TV host covered in a fine layer of Cheeto dust?

...

Ms Clinton spent 10 seconds robotically mouthing the sort of hollow words beaten politicians are always obligated to say, accepting responsibility for her defeat — and the other 16 minutes blaming everyone else.
Good article. Kind of responds to the conversations I've had with those who hate Trump/love Hilary. She lost the unloseable election against a guy like that but Comey but sexism but fake news but dumb voters but rednecks but racist but anti-women.

She wasn't a good alternate. End of.

There is another fact, and that is that the Democratic voters who didn't vote because they thought arrogantly she couldn't lose.

Having said that and I kinda agree with what your saying, however it's still only an opinion.

ABC splurged almost $3 million in taxpayer-funded bonuses, including one as high as $70k

THE ABC forked out almost $3 million on taxpayer-funded bonuses — some as much as $70,000 — to some of its highest paid staff last year.
The public broadcaster, which has mounted a fierce campaign against a government’s freeze in its funding, rewarded 189 employees on executive pay grades more than $2.2 million. Several of the highest-paid employees — which the broadcaster is refusing to publicly disclose despite Turnbull Government demands — received bonus payments of more than $55,000.
It comes as ABC News director Gaven Morris warned there “is no more fat left to cut” at the national broadcaster and any more would “cut into the muscle of the organisation”. Bonuses were also paid to 190 non-executive employees totalling $384,989.
The broadcaster’s 2016-17 report also shows it splurged more than $10 million in market research and promotion and more than $1.5 million on consultancy firms. The majority of the 4769 staff at the broadcaster are eligible bonuses of 2 per cent of their base salary each year if they received a favourable performance review.

Victorian Premier Dan Andrews keeps telling us we don't have a law and order problem in Melbourne, more specifically with the African gangs not to mention the soft sentences meted out by the judiciary... Outcomes like this the norm with these lawless African gangs, kick a policeman in the head while already on probation for house invasions and carjackings then be found guilty but walk free with no conviction recorded, now while on probation again assault and kick another victim in the head. Another slap on the hand coming his way no doubt.

How do you kick a cop in the head and walk free?

The same way you assault a Paramedic in Dan Andrews' Victoria causing career ending injuries and walk free I guess...

A PARAMEDIC who suffered career-ending injuries when two women viciously bashed him as he tried to treat a patient is “appalled” they have avoided jail.
Paul Judd fought back tears as County Court judge Barbara Cotterell said it “would achieve little” sending Amanda Warren, 31, and Caris Underwood, 20, to prison. “I’m appalled and distressed by the decision of the court,” Mr Judd said outside court. “I just feel that justice hasn’t been done.” Warren and Underwood, both drunk, punched and kicked Mr Judd, breaking his foot, as he and another paramedic attended to a patient in Reservoir in April 2016. Warren also ripped Mr Judd’s gold necklace from his neck during the attack, then got behind the wheel of a car and rammed the ambulance vehicle.

Isn't that more an issue with the judge/magistrate letting him off with a fine? The laws are already in place to impose prison sentences for these offences.

If anyone was to be embarrassed arising out of this one would think it was Dyce Heydon.

Never a good result to see CFMEU leadership allowed to roam freely.

Confirmation that the Coalition government has known about the Energy companies price gouging for years, and done nothing about it.

Frydenberg's attempt to deflect and blame it on Labor is almost comical in its inepitude. Josh - Labor might have created the problem, but you've had 5 years to clean it up and your mob has done 2/3 of 3/5 of SFA. You can't pass the buck when you've known about the problem for years and done nothing to fix it yourself.

You have to laugh...

Family First gets rolled into Bernardi's Buffoons when their leader is found to be in parliament illegally. She walks to the Libs instead... and now finds herself with an unwinnable position on their Senat ticket. Hahahahahahahaha.
