It feels like all these ”unarmed” police shootings involve guys with long lists of prior offending. It would not surprise me if the police already know to be particularly weary of these guys, they likely have had run ins with them previously.
It’s hard for us to comprehend that there are more weapons than people in the US so the police are aware that anyone and everyone is potentially armed. Australia is not like this at all.
This trial by edited phone cam video is not helping anyone really.

That’s a big call, that all the publicized cases are due to white supremacists. Agreed that they should be doing character checks on potential police officers. I would have thought they do anyway.

I didn't say that "all" of the cases are due to white supremacists. I'm sure it's a mixed bag and there have been times where it's down to poor training or other issues. Some people just aren't suited to be in law enforcement.

I’m not sure that character of a loan applicant is looked into in depth. I’ve taken out lots of loans and it’s all equity position , income etc. just a pile of figures. I use a broker though so have no contact with banks in the process.
The old dress in the Sunday best and have a meeting with the bank manager is like 30 years ago.

Character is a thing, but in this case its about your track history of repaying loans. So your credit history points to Character. Also if you provide less accurate info and stuff like that.
