No point impeaching him as he is gone soon any way.

USA is a tinderbox fall of nutters.

Best to let things calm down, then go after Trump later.
However, if impeachment succeeds, he won’t ever be able to hold an office of power again. Impeachment really important here.

Interesting footage, bunch of numb nuts

Just reinforces the notion that they really don't have a ******* clue what objectives they have long term and are also led by a leader who doesn't have any strategic vision either.

Russel Brand has a good take on it and makes the point that we need to look a bit deeper than 'Trumps a nutjob and these people are idiots'. At some point they have actually become really disenfranchised with the country and much of the anger is probably valid, they are poor and likely have shitty lives, but it's directed at the wrong people.

They're getting the government they deserve. Poor and middle class Republicans continually vote against their best interests. If you vote to empower a party that wants to cripple healthcare and other social security protections, screw the working and middle classes by lowering taxes on the wealthy etc. you did it to yourself. I have not even an ounce of sympathy for any of them.

I have a tiny amount of sympathy for them in the sense that yes they vote against there best interests, buit it's due to a lot of really bad education and brainwashing via the media. They've been totally hoodwinked and now its actually all crashing down on them. The fact that they want to fight against a democratic party who might actually be able to improve there lives is insane.

But yeah, you reap what you sow....

And another snowflake - who would miss her? Absolutely no-one. Another Murdoch apologist.

PS : I’m not expecting many right wingers will be posting on many political threads over the coming weeks and months.

Not surprising after losing the defamation lawsuit.

But both Democrat and Republican parties are both centre/right parties with Republicans slightly more right than the Democrats.

Reckon the Scandinavian countries have got the right mix - Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden.

Not quite... the Democrats are right (equivalent of the Liberals in Australia), the Republicans are far right. There is no left or centre in US politics, at least not amongst the two main parties.

That's not entirely accurate, members of the left in the democrats are just as left as anything we have. Bernie Sanders and Cortez for instance.

If you look at voter demographics America is poised to shift to the left in a big way over the coming decades. The reason the republicans were so desperate this election is because the writing is on the wall for them somewhat.

The republicans are absolutely not centre right. They are much more extreme than that.

I think Vader is talking about the party leadership/policy direction (for the most part). The DNC are staunchly fiscally conservative.

So someone like Bernie is an independent who sits with the Democrats, because there's no left party.

While the majority of voters absolutely embrace left policies like M4A, UBI, climate change action, etc., neither party really embrace them because the establishment and donors are against them.

I've maintained all along that the DNC would have preferred a Trump second term over a Sanders presidency. The likes of Trump and McConnell to "fight" against is fantastic for fundraising too.

I think you could say with some certainty none of those attacking you for your stand are small business owners with their balls on the line and likely never have been....salaried workers no doubt.

If your small business isn't financially resilient perhaps you should have been an employee instead?

Owning a business has huge financial upside and with that comes greater risk, cry me a river.

Typical liberal wanting to keep profits private while having losses subsidized at the expense of the nation.

The idea that you consider keeping a few small businesses open more important than peoples lives is just an ugly reflection on who you are as a person.

There were $1.01 odds that Mutineer would give this post a laugh emoji

Mutineer is very tactical about his use of emotes.

He'll only swoop in and reply if he thinks he can win an argument. If he knows he is going to lose the argument he'll use emotes instead.

Watch him for a while and you see a pattern to it, both in terms of topics and posters he'll respond to.

Think you may be mixing a few bits of info there?

Covid-19 disease?

The vaccinations are only for over 18, with the main push being around you not getting a full blown reaction (like flu vaccines).

See, I don't get the flu jabs because I don't have bad reaction with getting the flu AND I stay home if I'm sick so I don't pass it on.

Covid I will be front of the queue. Covid has a good chance of really stuffing with my health AND I could have it, not know and pass it onto someone more vulnerable that it could easily kill.

Easy choice.
All the talk I’ve heard says the vaccine doesn’t stop you spreading the virus. Not RWNJ articles this is what I’ve heard on ABC and normal news services.
I’m sure with what I’ve heard I’m correct.

I think the mantra of Mutineer is “socialise the losses but privatise the gains”.

You enter into small business, it isn’t for everyone you have to be an entrepreneur or have access to an entrepreneur. As I said most business failure is due to management failure due to an inability to acknowledge their weakness, adapt to changing business conditions or basically have a failed business model.

Well thank goodness the State Premiers took charge rather SmoCo otherwise we would be like the UK/USA. A right wing government with no ******* idea what to do.
Yet you’re blaming him for most anything going.
Do you really want the federal government to call the shots or not. If not, you really should STFU about it.

Some also fail because of bad timing, such as opening shortly before a recession.

s**t happens.

Risk vs Reward.

You'll always have unpredictable things happen after you take a big decision like that, some will be beneficial and some won't.

that is the calculated risk you take when you open a business.
