Shows how little you know. I guess you are judging him on his first game for the season (mind you, also midfielders totally took the blame for that, seeing the ball was going to Essendons forward line so quickly)? Because other than that Leo has been extremely solid, his run of the backline is so vital to the team, he has NOT been "yuk" all year and anyone who has watched all the Swans games this year would know how important he is to our team. He's been in the best on field category many times this year, which he definately deserves.

Also, why do you think he's one of our 3 captains? Because he motivates the team and gives the games everything.

So why do you think people aren't "jumping on Leo's back"? The man is a legend, a hero, a STAR and he proves that week in, week out.

It isn't hard when you are in the no.1 team in the competition and have the best defence by far.
Rutten doesn't have the rebounding ability Scarlett has and Scarlett regularly outmarks FF's along with punching the ball when he cannot mark it.

Scarlett rebounds when Rutten does not. This is nothing to do with ability to do so...more to do with accountability. Rutten concedes less due to this. As long as Adelaide continue to hold teams to low scores Rutten will be seen as better, as the AA fullback deserves.
