hmm.. my favourite would be "being john malkovich" ....

honorable mentions to:
fight club, stigmata, dogma, sleepy hollow, sixth sense, ummmm

Does a DVD remastered copy of Buster Keatons 'The General' count?

Cant think of any masterpieces from the year. Liked Happy Texas, Boondock Saints, and Nil by Mouth. You may guess im not a big Hollywood movies fan.

Being John Malkovich was an amusing little movie for me.

I also enjoyed The Gladiator - a Hollywood blockbuster I actually enjoyed for once.

The Dish was funny, and Looking for Alibrandi was very well done as well.

Dunno really - not a vintage year for movies really was it ?

cheers

The Dish was very funny.

Do video releases count? If they do, then go and hire Arlington Road. It's slow to start off with, but it is seriously an unreal movie... and a big (annoying) twist at the end.

I too saw Arlington Road but i will not include it as the crazy ending turned me off it!
Chicken Run was quite funny and I really like the Dish.....I can't think of any movies i saw last year!!! I'll come back later.

Mmmmmmm alot of those films were really in 1999 and Arlington Road was earlier (a pretty good film by the way). More importantly though, none of the films people mentioned had any connection to footy unless some of the Esadun pretty boys scored roles as extras.
