As long as there are less SW threads on the first page because at the current rate there will soon be one about the colour of Chewbaccas dumps.

No. Good sci-fi doesn't deserve to be buried on a sub-board.

Threads for new movies should always be on the main board, regardless of genre.

However "discussion" threads should go on a sub-board.

Like I said, SW sub-board is the best win-win for all.

There are multiple SW movies now, and SW EU (comics, tv, cartoons). And Disney are going to pump them out. You can't shoehorn them all into one thread.

Imo the best choice (not offered in the Poll) is to just make a SW sub-board, the fanboys like me, addicted, will find it and populate it, allowing the main board to be uncluttered. That is win-win imo. Rather than creating a whole Sci-Fi & Fantasy sub-board, or separate board. Movies are movies. It's just SW that is highly popular and also annoying -- so give it it's own sub-board here, and everything else can flow as is.

the last 6 star wars movies have been rubbish and not worthy talking about. Only the first two in the series (both nearly 40 years old) and Rogue one spin off were any good. one thread seems fine.
