Haha! On the west coast eagles web site they have a poll which is:

Do you think Kevin Sheedy should be fined or suspended at Thursday night's tribunal hearing?

A. Fine - Up to $10,000
B. Fine - Above $10,000
C. Suspension from coaching 1-2 weeks
D. Suspension from coaching 2+ weeks
E. None of the above

It's good to see that D is winning

You have got to be kidding!

What is the game coming to.

All Sheedy has done is give some of us something to talk about for a week.

If they have to do anything to him then just give him a kick up the backside and tell him not to do it again.

You West Coast supporters should be greatfull. He has given you some great amunition for the next time you play.

I think they should have a poll on when do
you think the weagles will next win a GF.

A. 1 to 2 years
B. 2 to 4 years
C. 5 to 10 years
D. NEVER

I think D would win.

BOMBER BLITZ IN 2000!

Nice one Grendel! I spoke to a Hawks fan last year in Rd 22 and he said then you all hated him!

And E) is now winning the other poll too!

Goeagles- sorry to disappoint you but 'D' is now winning in your pathetic poll.

Nice to see at least some of your supporters have some sense hehe.

Its great to see you ppl hate our club so much, everyone know the more you hate a club the more scared of them you are. I hate the Dons and the Roos see my point. The more successful a club is the more you hate it and my boys were the first to take your precious premiership out of melbourne and dont worry we'll do it again and soon.

2000 the year of the Eagle

Where is all this hostility coming from?

You're blaming the Eagles for asking for an investigation, right? Sooks, whingers etc... DO YOU THINK THE AFL WOULD'VE LET IT GO OTHERWISE? No. It certainly wasn't a small hidden incident that would have gone unnoticed.

Now, are we agreed (except Arch of course

that Mitchell White DID NOT hit Johnson? That was the impression I got.
So can someone please explain why Sheedy is continuing with the 'he hit our player' bit? I think the guy has finally lost it. He's been tinkering on the edge for years, and I thinks he's finally gone over. [Not wishing to inflame you dedicated Bomber fans, but could he have realised his team is not invincible, and be attempting to take the mounting pressure off going unbeaten?]

Just to add- Wayne Jackson is a fool. Why the hell did he say anything at all? Why did Judge choose this week to become passionate about his new club? Personally I think he's justified in saying what he did, but again he probably should have just let it go.
I think that it's great that Sheedy is trying to liven up his slightly robotic team, but he went too far. He did do damage to the leagues image, and deserved punishment for it. I would have preferred one week out of the coaches box (does he really have to do that much this year anyway?), but a fine will do. Why has this become such a nasty and malicious big deal?

Can anyone explain? (Especially the whole not apologising to WC or Mitchell White because he hit our player bit...)

As a parent, I was appalled at Sheedys behaviour on Saturday night. We were watching the game on TV. I think he crossed that invisible line. His actions were seen Australia wide. They were not appropriate, under any circumstances.
I think he should appologise unreservedly, not this half hearted rubbish he is doing now.
I would hate to think that my sons opposition coach , could think that this is ok , to do this to my son at half time , because he hates my sons team, over past deeds done.
Nup.Sheedy is a legend, but I believe he should bite the bullett and say hey, I am sorry everyone, I overreacted.
As for Jackson and Co. The media would have hounded them for comments. They should have said nothing, they played into Sheedys hands.
Silly folly the whole thing really. I would have gone quietly instead of putting more media pressure on my team.I wonder if this will mean that Essendon actually play all 6 interstate games next year, and a home game in Sydney.
Also I think its unhealthy this open hatered of another team.
Sure, have teams that your team enjoy the rivalry with, but open hatred.MMMMMM.

White poked Johnson in the eye, Sheedy over reacted but the fact remains contact was made to the head which is illegal whether it was an accident or not, Sheedy therefore shouldn't have to apologise to White or the Eagles.

Eagle fan

you say the AFL wouldn't have let it go? They did in Parkins case? He actually hit someone. I know Essendon did some things to Weagle players and quite rightly got games, yet Long gets it and nothing happens? No wonder Sheeds went ape. Full marks to him for sticking up for his players. The rest is PC crap!!!!! Keep asking polls Is judge a whinger? Ans: YES

So what you are saying, is that if a player for say Hawthorn is poked in the eye by a player from North. When the Hawk player started the how di doody in the 1st place. Then Schwab has the right to do what Sheedy did. I think not.

Accidental contact to the head is worthy of a free kick at the most Mantis, not nation-wide embarrassment and dispersion on your character. Or threats on your health.

I still don't understand why Sheedy's carrying on with this, -I thought he was smarter than that.

Oh- and adding weight to the loose screw argument, what's with refusing to take off his coat for the whole of last nights hearing? He was sweating like month old ham by the time it finished. He's a worry.

What a loser Sheedy is... He pleaded guilty to acting in an aggressive and threatening manner to an opposition player, but STILL he does not say sorry to White. How hypocritical is that? You either say you are not guilty or you say sorry!
