I vited no as I'm more of the passive protest type. Wearing it regardless gives us 1 week shock factor and can build resentment to our cause.

Continual passive protest though....

Also would rather see any aggression to the decision used to motivate the players on the field.
1. As ammunition to stick it to the AFL who obviously don't respect us and
2. To give us an extra carrot in the two Collingwood games this year.

What is the penalty for not playing 'The Power To Win' after winning?

Cheer, cheer the black and the white!
It is our heritage, history, and right!
Lift that famous guernsey high,
Wind-up the fat man, make him cry!

How do we get the crowd to chant this?

For ease of chanting, I'd change the second line to:

Cheer, cheer the black and the white!
It's our hist'ry and our right!
Lift that famous guernsey high,
Wind-up the fat man, make him cry!

That last line is incredible. Would the cheer squad put this on a banner?
There is a syllable missing in that second line then. Would need to be:

Cheer, cheer the black and the white!
It's our hist-o-ry and our right!
Lift that famous guernsey high,
Wind-up the fat man, make him cry!

If you are going to change words, you have to replace them with the same amount of syllables to fit the music.

Honour the Magpie day and by night - 9 syllables
It is our hist-o-ry and our right - 9 syllables

Lift that loyal banner high, - 7 syllables
Lift that famous guernsey high, - 7 syllables

Shake out the thunder from the sky - 8 syllables
Wind-up the fat man, make him cry - 8 syllables

Now onto the 2 verse Alyx. Great stuff by the way.

Still feels clumsy. Personally I prefer Alyx's original but substitute "it is" with "it's" and "history" with "hist'ry" to maintain the equal syllables rule.

No. Dumbest thing ever. We'd never be able to wear them again.

The club should be painting the stadium black and white and it doesn't look like they've got any plans for that whatsoever so I feel like we've just bent over here.

Unless there’s some express ruling against it, I’m not sure why we haven’t transferred the ‘Hodges/Evans End’ concept to the Oval.

West Coast have (had?) their Chris Mainwaring Wing, and Essendon have (had?) their custom ‘Lloyd/Coleman End’ at Marvel.

Shocked to learn McGuire cracked it over that last one as ‘denigration’ of Gordon Coventry.
