I’ll definitely get it ASAP. We travel a hell of a lot and vaccination certificates will be needed for many places and quite possibly required to be able to leave Australia so for us it’s a must
Seems most people (anecdotally, here and friends/family) are getting it thinking they'll need it to travel, not that they believe they need it health-wise. Interesting

Out of interest does everyone here get the flu shot?

Never have, never had the flu. Mark it down is luck but ill be sticking with the same attitude with this vaccine too for now. Certainly not rushing in to be first for a rushed roll out...

If youre healthy, your immune system does a good job. If its mandated for travel, different story.

I never got it until kids - not because I didn't want too - but because as previously discussed I hate needles.

Would get everything on earth if it came in liquid/pill form

Probably true in some sense. I’m not a anti vaxer but I do only tend to get my shots when we need them to travel

Its virtually eliminated in Australia
The only place it wil exist is OS and the occasional leak form returned people from OS

The small print, though, gave pause for thought:
the results were revealed in a Pfizer press release, not a published scientific paper
; it is unknown how long immunity lasts or whether the symptoms of those who did contract Covid-19 were mild or severe
; it has not been revealed how well the vaccine, called BNT162b2, worked in older age groups – the key targets of any nationwide vaccination strategy.
Neither do we know whether the vaccine curbs transmission as well as easing disease symptoms.

There were also logistical issues.
The formulation needs ultra-cold temperatures to stay stable and is packaged as if James Bond might courier it back to London for M16: special suitcases, lined with dry ice and GPS trackers, are each capable of storing 5,000 doses at -70˚C for ten days, as long as they are not opened more than four times.
Even Professor Sahin admitted the logistical challenges meant it would be summer 2021 before the pandemic started to recede.

I do find it interesting that im sure there will be some religious exemptions granted for this but not for any other reason.

Personally i think if youre going to allow religious exemptions you kind of have to allow any exemptions (just personal opinion)
100%. It's either mandatory, or it isn't. Believing in the sky fairies is far more farfetched than believing your immune system being the best defence so how on earth is it grounds for exemption?! They've got that wrong if this is the case

Im basing it off historical evidence. The NRL with the flu jab thing gave a religious exemption and i think they would be pressured heavily to do it.

I hope they dont.

They're skipping regular steps of testing and get immunity against fatal side effects, of which there have been a few in the minimal testing they have done. Dont have to pay you a cent if it causes you to lose an arm, eye or gives you serious ailments

Sure theres some scrutiny on social media but nothing of any importance to developers. Hardly confidence building when thinking critically but as we know, that skill died in March...
The best thing is the fact they 'accidentally' found out that 1/2 dose + full performs better than 2X full dose... Yes you heard that right they accidentally provided incorrect dosages - it was not by design. This is the level of competence we are dealing - imagine they went the other way and accidentally double dosed... It also shows how little they know if they didn't even realise or are unable to explain why 1/2 + full performs better than 2X full or they would have done it from the start.

I'd get the Oxford one, not sure about RNA (Moderna, Pfizer) though hahahaha
You have the choice of a vaccine made from monkeys or one that plays around with lab made DNA - what's not to love. The best part !! not a single long term study has been completed on the affects - as long as you don't drop dead within a few months its considered 'safe' and IF you do happen to drop dead then they will blame it on an underlying health condition (the reverse of what they are doing with COVID deaths).

OK... I have to ask... If there are 40+ types of Corona virus - one being the common cold - how come they have suddenly found a vaccine only for COVID-19?
The world doesnt get closed down for the common cold so the research/development money to profit ratio - side effects sue rates isnt there ???

59.7 million cases world wide
1.41 million deaths world wide

Work out that mortality rate and tell me how deadly it is

So you are happy to get on a plane with someone that has a virus that has a 1 in 50 chance of killing you - I'll pass thanks.
