Typical Gummies players, very unprofessional ........... did Macca pay for the drinks?.

You never know Dion might come out of the "boondocks" (Perth) and play a blinder?.

My boy (who is 8 and a half) has never seen an EF victory in a derby, since he defected at age 4. Yet he remains steadfastly true to his beloved Sharks. I'm quite proud of him for that. :)

Back off Coasting.

Polly has gone against team rules, he has done wrong, nothing to say in his defence. Life goes on as he is not the first AFL footballer who has done this and we will not be the last.

Making a mountain out of a molehill. eg. mountain = drunk driving, molehill = drinking.

Let's move on.

Depends on the circumstances. If Connolly just decided to drop them because they were out drinking, its a bit of a low blow. If they were told not to drink during injury and it was just expected, then they should definately have been dropped. I'm still tipping us for Sydney. McManus out of the side is worth another 4 goals.

I scanned the bookie sites. Freo still $2.50 to $2.60. If it get up to $3.00 I might have a bit on them.

Problem... I've only ever bet once. So I have to ask the guys at the TAB how to lay a bet.

Probably couldnt do any worse than lotto

Dodd wasn't a certainty anyway, but replacing Polak will be difficult. Could be a good opportunity for Woods or even Campbell or Warren.
Campbell's playing in the forward line for the Joondies reserves; Warren is Long term Injured which is why Crowley was elevated.

You would love to have him at the Eagles and so would your Coaching and Recruiting staff and that is a fact. Anyway he'd be getting a game there and would be a better player which is more than can be said about McDud!

From afl.com:

Connolly said he was especially disappointed with Polak, who brought up his 50th AFL match earlier this season but who has yet to deliver on his status as a number four draft pick.

"We've backed in Graham - we see him as being a super important player into the future, so this situation arising is a major setback for Graham and the Fremantle Football Club."

Not like CC to be so specific with any public criticism of players. Interesting to see how Polly reacts next week after he was blasted by both coach and senior team leaders at half time v Geelong, then came out and played a great second half. Another time when CC has mentioned him by name and also allowed a senior player (Hase) to give him a bagging to the media. Obviously taking a harder line and trying to get a rocket up him.

Also dropping Headland at a time when injuries are an issue was also showing a fair bit of courage. Good on CC.

It's an incredibly interesting line CC has taken. He's gone and dropped two players that would have been shoes in this week, for not underperforming, but for drinking while injured.

Still, I respect him for that. Maybe he is starting to learn a thing or two about discipline, so now it will be easier for him when a player underpeforms in a losing side, he may very well learn to drop them.

Considering out injury list though, I'm wondering who will make the 22. I wonder if Peake will get a run?

Can I please request that your son never change to supporting the Eagles?

That is a low blow Mr Q, having a member of your family supporting the Gummies is bad enough but to even suggest one could turn to the dark side is out of line. Now go and stand in the corner until you apologise.
:( ;) :D

Dropping Polak?
O comon, no haddrill, No Johnson..how exactly are we going to cover any forward line regardless of who we are playing.
I am the first to call for players to be dropped when they dont perform, but not when we are so injury ravaged.

Exact.

Come on Q, I'm waiting. An apology is required.

I'm willing to give Woods one more chance.

But if I see one more cowardly pike when going for a ball in a pack again....

Connolly said both breached rule on injured/sick players not drinking. Polak was ill with cold/flu and went out drinking Sunday night and made it worse. Dodd obviously had the shoulder injury.
No Woods (I think), but Peake, Schammer, Smith listed tonight.
