Reading his reply to T Grant in the Herald sun I feel really sorry for him. How dare Grant forget to (heed the ones that feed him 0oops sorry) provide objective journalism at all times
Sorry that all you guys have toiled like trojans in the last five years to bring us all the colonial experience, and how brattish of all of us to deride your labours just because the original concept was flawed.
Books on business failure are littered with hard working individuals who ignored ythe central rule of playing to your market.
If anything Grant was being way too soft. The public is used to turning up on the day, finding their own seat. How arrogant to think you could 'Educate' them to act otherwise. And I heard all of them s****** that the 'public would get used to it' even the recycled Mr Collins (they know all about shafting thr public at princes park).
How efficient is it for each punter to have contact with two or three people in the way in rather then a dozen or so at colonial (two guys graciously 'helped' me swipe my barcode the other week on the way to a medallion seat)
No wonder they want to double the price.
Finally Samuel says the mistakes will be fixed, and not be made again, yet behind the scenes deals are being made for more games at Homebush and Gabba. It's the year 2000, guys, you're still on the agenda hatched in the eighties.
By the way Guys, It wasn't your idea to open up the top tier to admission only, you have been dragged into it by a hugely disenchanted public. Remember... WE WON... I hope we keep on winning... for the good of footy as a widely supported pastime.
PS can anybody explain why colonial had to be all ticket for every game.. No-one seems to be able to.
PPS the smell thea wafted the other day was that the 'Colonic Irrigation' in action ?
PPS why not resign now.
