Word around Adelaide was that the Crows were the front runners for Nas... oops.
lol .. I thought that came from the tweet sent out by Fox Sports intern .. which in turn inspired a hilarously embarrassing 20 odd page melt down in NWM thread on the power board

Ryan Burton and Jeremy Finlayson to be announced as delistings late this afternoon.

Word around Adelaide was that Rankine wanted to come home.
Word around Adelaide was that Charlie Cameron wanted to go to Brisbane.
Word around Adelaide was that Mitch McGovern was unhappy with his contract and wanted to leave at the end of the year.

As for Nas, no one really knew what he was doing, other than him.
He made Port and Adelaide confident that he might be moving there.
Wait till the end of the year and lets see if his name gets brought up as a trade option.

Port need to get some small forwards and key defenders. Whitlock has shown a bit, so if they can get both him and Georgie up and running, their key forward stocks could look ok. I dont think Ollie Lords is the answer to any question, and Marshall is one head knock away from leaving the game.
They could do with some good medium size forwards as well. SPP is coming off another knee, and they are wasting JHF by having him in the forward line.

The ability to get good small forwards isn't easy, and that's going to hold them back.

Agree with small forwards, but we’re looking alright on the key defender front. AA still performing well, Rat shown immense growth this year, BZT serviceable depth and Ramm coming through dominating the SANFL’s best key forwards.
It’s small lockdown defenders we need.

Aliir Aliir is 30 years old. Its not easy to get a player of his quality to replace him with.

Savs year this year is what i expected at time of trade. He'll work out OK

Sav should get a solid opportunity to develop as the primary interceptor over the next couple of seasons. Allir probably has two years left in him—looked a touch slow early in the year but has been reliable in the back half. BZT has been standard.

The biggest list needs are a small forward and a small defender. Key forwards are a bit of an unknown quantity: MG is a gun, Whitlock is still young and developing. Lukosis and Marshall seems unlikely to be fit across 22 games. Lord may go.

Could be worth targeting a ruck/forward hybrid from the SANFL or VFL, and adding a bit of inside midfield depth wouldn’t hurt either.

a lock down defender, small crafty forward and a quality on-baller would be a priority.

Not sure where Josh Sinn stands. I think they want him to be the lock down defender, but never really had a chance to show that given the consistent changing to the team that happened this year.

Post those, a longer term tall defender is probably needed. Aliir is not getting any younger.

Hawthorn have 5 players playing at Box Hill that would slot into our 16-25 depth chain. Serong, Seamus Mitchell, Bailey McDonald’s, Blanck and Sam Butler.
