Data from footywire. To check the draft order (updated weekly) see the thread here.

This is a Power-specific version of the player contracts & statistics spreadsheet pinned to the top of this forum. It summarises your players' contract situations, experience, ages and heights. The data is from footywire, and the spreadsheet will update itself when footywire is updated. It may contain some errors, I do not have the ability to update them so we just have to deal with what footywire gives us. It's the best we can do for the moment.

According to this data, Port Adelaide are:
- 5th tallest, averaging 188.7cm
- 13th heaviest, averaging 85.7kg
- 9th oldest with an average age of 24.2 years
- 5th most experienced, averaging 76.6 career games

Your picks in the first five rounds of the 2019 national draft are:
1st round pick (tied to Port Adelaide - currently pick 12)
2nd round pick (tied to Port Adelaide - currently pick 30)
4th round pick (tied to Western Bulldogs - currently pick 61)
4th round pick (tied to North Melbourne - currently pick 63)
4th round pick (tied to Adelaide - currently pick 65)
4th round pick (tied to Port Adelaide - currently pick 66)
5th round pick (tied to Port Adelaide - currently pick 84)

To check the draft order (updated weekly) see the thread here.

Who retires, who is traded, and who is re-signed?

What do you see as the gaps in the list? How could those gaps be filled? Via trade or from the draft?

What will it take to get it all done, given the current trade and draft value on hand?

Tall, heavy and experienced, not particularly old, and with a heap of picks to play with.

Also a number of talls out of contract, Westhoff, Frampton, Ryder and Ladhams. Frampton is a forward I think? But the other three are rucks.

Lycett is your number 1 ruck, he's nearly 27 and in his prime. Westhoff is a forward and played the support ruck role last year? Feel free to correct me on any of this, it's mostly an educated guess since I don't keep close track of playing lists outside of my own.

Ryder seems to have gone out of favour, he's over 30. If Lycett goes down with injury, does Ryder come back in? Could you see him staying on at Port as a break glass in case of emergency next year, or would Frampton/Ladhams fill that role?

Frampton is 22, Ladhams is 21. They seem to be the up and coming rucks? How do you guys see that working out? Are either of them good enough yet to play a #2 ruck role every week and be useful elsewhere around the ground? Or is that still something they're working on in the reserves? I assume in time one of them would be earmarked to take over from Lycett?

You also have a number of other talls who pinch hit in the ruck, but I don't suppose Dixon and Trengove are likely to play into your considerations when looking at the ruck division. Howard seems to be a defender. Marshall was drafted as a forward. Hayes could be anything based on his player profile on the PA website?

Outside of that, as I said in the OP... where do you see the gaps? Who retires, who is traded, who is re-signed? And how do you fill the gaps?

Is seemingly a side ready to contend with numerous top quality talents, however is a bit like South Africa in cricket, never mentally ready to take the next step. With the right coach, can definitely win a flag or two. Hinkley needs a new start at st kilda or calton as he has gotten the most out of the list. A new coach is needed, brad scott is not too bad as he got us to 2 pf and with the list port has got, u never know.

Ladhams has already gotten a couple of games this year. Hayes and ladhams are the future rucks. Both are pretty handy up forward so there’s a spot for one up forward next year.

Frampton is a key forward who can ruck. Kicked 6 goals this weekend. Has 10 goals in 2 weeks now. There is a chance we lose him.

Amon and Farrell are also out of contract. Amon has really gone up several notches this year and is an automatic 1st 22. He could ask to go back to Victoria this off-season.

Farrell is a promising young player we need to keep

No future rucks who think they are any good are going to want to wait behind Lycett for 5 years, if they are that good they will move somewhere they can get the no1 ruck spot.

That’s the fear.

They’ll be games there for them going forward but not a walk up to #1 ruck and other teams will be in the ears of rucks around the league they think they can poach.

AFL website has an article about players who are still out-of-contract as of yesterday. Links are to player threads if we have one for 2019.

Out of contract: Karl Amon, Riley Bonner, Matthew Broadbent, Tobin Cox, Kane Farrell, Billy Frampton, Martin Frederick, Sam Gray, Cameron Hewett, Aidyn Johnson, Trent McKenzie, Kai Pudney, Paddy Ryder, Cam Sutcliffe, Jack Trengove, Justin Westhoff

Ryder seems headed for another club – he's been linked to St Kilda, Greater Western Sydney and Essendon – in part because of Peter Ladhams' emergence and Scott Lycett's long-term deal. Johnson is another who's unlikely to be at the Power in 2020 as he looks for greater opportunities elsewhere. Amon, Bonner and Gray have also been raised as potential trade targets throughout the season. However, forward-ruck Frampton is one player who is set to stay at Alberton, along with Farrell. Westhoff didn't re-sign until October last year and may do the same again, while Broadbent has played the past five games since returning from personal leave.

Table in the OP must be a bit outdated. Boak and Watts are signed for 2020 and Garner is signed for 2021. Also Farrell is signed until the end of 2022, not 2021.
Yeah it's footywire. They keep everything pretty well up to date until like August and then idk what the hell happened. Re-signings started and they stopped, apparently.

To the best of my knowledge you have: Karl Amon, Riley Bonner, Matthew Broadbent, Tobin Cox, Kane Farrell, Billy Frampton, Martin Frederick, Sam Gray, Aidyn Johnson, Trent McKenzie, Paddy Ryder, Cam Sutcliffe, Justin Westhoff

Amon, Bonner and Farrell have all re-signed since that article came out:

Since the sudden clear out of players at Port Adelaide and the fact we are missing some key structures what would the potential targets be inside this trade period and the 2020 trade period?

If you are Honest all the draft picks are big risk high reward types. Only see mead on a afl list long term but who knows
When you have many High risk/high rewards bets, it increases your chance of getting at least one right. We went for "hidden gems." The key is what we are going to do with them from now on - which is actually my main concern.

How are they looking so far at training?
Both Bergman and Georgiadis finished in the top 15 in the time trails which is a good start.
Really like the looks of Bergman I don't want to put the mozz on him but has similar traits to rozee agility, long kick brave in the air.

Any chance one of those will play round one ?
