Basically the same type of first half as last week. Hope our second half reflects last week as well.

Very little to like after the first 20 minutes of the game.

It started in the midfield - they've dominated contested and uncontested possession with the usual inside players getting the footy and their outriders keeping their width and moving the ball forward with uncontested, short passing and then long kicks to forwards who are just too good in the one on ones.

Other than Butters and Houston, I think our entire squad has been below its best.

Our senior players, the ones who we've been crying out to lift for the past 4 years, need to start imposing themselves when opposition teams lift. Boak, Ebert, now Rockliff, Motlop, Jonas all need to sense the time to step up and do so quickly to stop the run of opposition goals.

Marshall needs to halve more contests at HF. Sam Gray and Amon couldn't possibly be selected ahead of Butters and Duursma. DBJ should start to look over his shoulder especially if Garner can start putting good SANFL games together. Rockliff should not play ahead of Drew until he shows that he can pick up the pace of his game. Is too slow, both by foot and by hand.

Disappointing quarter, after a lot to like early. Bad habits came back and an all too familiar run of goals against us in uncontested and easy fashion.

Can’t really judge anything due to this heat, but Betts will be almost unplayable with the space afforded by 6-6-6 and the generous umpiring interpretations that inevitably favour him.
and the terrible thing is that he is playing until 2020 …

Just predictable. Trying to practice our gameplan. Cancer really slow too much because you can't spend the whole game attacking.
Against a team which had more of an established game plan. This is the best time to try this. We could chip it around when they have players back but that isn't what we're trying to do here

Crows will barely lose a game this year.. new rules are perfect for them.. tall forwards are back they'll dominate
the only tall forward of the cows that will dominate is Jenkins (being so tall and 108kg) but that is only if Jacobs stays injury free

Disappointing with our rucks we aren't doing better out o the centre. Jonas off to a flyer as Captain. Good to know if he's shit down back regularly due to 6-6-6 the club won't have the balls to drop him.

I would suggest get used to it other teams in this comp are going to ream this club i can see it already. My tip is bottom four side. Hinkly must go he is a stain on this club as head coach.

Crows are really tricky when there mids get lots of footy into there fwd line. There big fwds are winning in the air .There smalls are winning on the ground. I'm sure Ken would like to drop 2 more players back under the old rules.

We started well then backed off.

Rickliff said we were going to slow it down to preserve our bodies.

I'll be interested to see TOG for our key players too.

I liked what I saw when we were trying and am not too concerned about what happens when we back off because it's a trial.
