Port are in the worst position right now, not rebuilding or challenging and are arguably in the furthest position from a flag.
Sold all their draft capital in recent years in order to top up with the likes of Ratugolea, Soldo, Lukosius, Richards and Atkins.
Traded Houston for peanuts and there are rumours of Bergman and Butters wanting out.

Where to from here?

Interesting to see what happens once Butters is back, but theyre not an old list at all. They could go back to the draft for a year or 2 and go again in 3-4 years time.
Their KPFs are ok with Georgiades, but their KPDs are weak.
They really need Butters back and JHF to get his tank ready for full time midfield.

If they can keep Butters and Bergman theyll be fine in a couple years time imo.

People forget how young their good players actually are

Their list is full of holes, sure they have a decent midfield but there's not much to write home about in terms of defenders and forwards.

Yeah they have list holes but their list isnt so old that they cant be fixed and still be ready while Rozee/Butters/JHF are in their primes

I look at their list and to me the holes are fillable.

Their forward line needs some quick and classy small forwards which in principle should be the easiest to add. Geelong got Miers, Stengle, Close, and Mannagh with one pick in the 30s, a pick in the 50s, a rookie selection, and delisted free agency signing. Put any 3 in the power forward line and see how they hum.

I also think the problems they seem to have in the backline are not related to personnel there but more a reflection of the lack of defensive work by the midfield.
