Oh so because of those awards he gets to act like that.

Still no reason to be arrogant, by the end of this season Gaz Jnr will probably have more awards than that (excluding having 4 AA's) and he won't be arrogant.

We're playing Port- what are our chances?

I'm just a little worried. We would want to play a lot better than last night. Port looked awesome today. I still think that we can win, but the following things worry me:-

Port has nine players who have played in a Grand Final, we have one (Mooney).

We got a couple of injuries, Port got none (other than Wilson).

We have lost Grand Finals recently, so are we jinxed, or is it our time?

Port beat us in Round 21, playing a similar game to how Collingwood played us last night. Could we take two games like that in a row ?

If the GF is close, Port win close games, whereas , aside from last night, Geelong generally have a poor record in close games.

We just won, meaning that we may get two tough, hard games in a row, whereas Port are coming off a training run, where they haven't been hit as hard. Which is better?

We have been consistent all year, whereas Port have momentum. I remember though, in 1992, we had played well all year, and lost the Grand Final to West Coast, who were on a good run at the time. I hope it doesn't happen again.

People, give me some hope. I haven't given up, but I am a little nervous. We played poorly last night. I just don't want a sense of deja vu. Please ease my mind, and help me to enjoy this week, rather than be stressed about our chances.

Re: We're playing Port- what are our chances?

sorry cant help you cause i feel the momentum has changed to port. Our display on friday has left a bad feeling and its not easy to just change it around. Port are now full of confidence and many tipsters who where calling it over a few weeks ago are now leaning towards port.....We are going to have to play very very well to get this flag.

Port dominated and controled that game today - i now feel we need to stop them playing their game rather than the other way around.

Dont know maybe its just nerves but im not so confident about this next game

Should we be worried?

Port were awesome, whereas we played nervously, and were pressured. It was a similar type of game that we played against Port in Round 21. Please give me peace of mind. Why do you think that we can beat Port next week.

Also, does Geelong having a tough final, compared to Port's training run game into the GF, have any bearing? Will it advantage or disadvantage us?

Re: Should we be worried?

we havent won a flag in 43 seasons

we played poorly on friday night and were lucky to survive

port are full of confidence

we have players hospitalised, a couple with sore bodies, questions over our second ruckman from the game on Friday

Port lost some old bloke who can play but is replaceable

Port running game was awsum today

So Yes we should be worried and prepared for the fight of our lives on saturday

Re: Should we be worried?

Peace of mind... last time we played them at KP we had Lingy, Jimmeh and Selwood out. (3 big guns) We lost the game in the last 10 seconds. Port had a full side.

Port will go in cocky after this the game against North, it will get to their head, they'll lose.

Geelong's game Vs Pies was a good training run for the big one at the G next week. Geelong should be better prepared. Also, why would a team with 9 all Australians (8 playing on the day) lose a GF?

Last time we played will mean absolutly nothing on saturday....it will mean as much as the first time we played them in 1997

Re: We're playing Port- what are our chances?

If they kick well at goal, we'll be fine. If we kick poorly we'll lose. Even today if the Kangas had kicked better they would have still been in with a chance with 10 minutes to go in the last quarter.

There's bugger all between the sides, and it's going to be a belter.

Sorry - I meant to say "it will be rose and lollies and we will dance and smile and win by 100...."

Truth hurts - the kid needs to go in with his eyes open and his heart pumping like the rest of us

Re: Should we be worried?

the game we played last night was the type of game we needed. A tough hard win against a quality team. Similar to the way port play. We haven't come this far to lose another grand final.

Re: We're playing Port- what are our chances?

our performance under a lot of pressure was brilliant imo.

we should have a huge bandwagon of victorians on our side and outnumber the port supporters.

port haven't played too many at the 'G this year while we have played a few with big grounds, including 2 finals whereas port have played all their finals games at home. and the teams they have played have been interstate.

all the way cats!

Re: We're playing Port- what are our chances?

The kangaroos were abysmal.

They did not man up. The did not chase. They turned the ball over continually. They dropped their heads in the 2nd quarter and from that point onwards were sheissenhausen. They made Port Power look good.

Stop Peter Burgoyne, you will run over the top of Port. Its no coincidence mid year when they had a lean spell that Peter Burgoyne went missing over that time. Lingy will now doubt get the job.

I am confident that the Cats will belt the living suitcases out of Port and the game will be a fizzer (for PA fans).
