Gee, that'd be an extra $100 million in revenue, minimum. **** yeah Renault!
Renault say **** yeah Port. Seriously it's great for them and us as Kochie can demonstrate that the corporates with
the right product can "come on board ! our brand and profile can work for you too".
Would any of us have thought this possible 3yrs ago. More than, well done to ALL at PAFC, lets tell it like it is UNBELIEVABLE !
As REH alluded to and even more good news in the pipeline :D.
Back up the off field work boys.

Remember those cretins jumping on the Adelaide Now comments section when Renault was announced as our major sponsor, with stuff like "* you, Renault. I run a courier business and until now have used a fleet of Renault vans. Not anymore now you're a sponsor of Port Power"?

REH and I had a chat with Kochie and KT after and it's definitely happening, whatever it is. Announcement expected mid next month. Apparently the AFL are "gobsmacked" about it.

So they will tell the Vic clubs then so they can reap the gravy train I assume :)

My guess is a fitness/health/sports performance/well-being centre of excellence where we employ students to ply their trade on anyone who is keen to learn the Port Adelaide way of training, eating and living.

Including a gym, online coaching, nutrition and exercise programs, injury rehab - the whole lot.

I'd pay thousands for that tbh.

I'm almost as excited about the pending announcement as I am about Sunday's game.

My wishful guess is that KT has casually charmed a Chinese billionaire into a multi-million investment in all things PAFC, including the funding of an AFL sized facility in Hong Kong that will facilitate a match for Premiership points on Chinese soil. This is coupled with a massive redevelopment of Alberton Oval so that we can house a team of Chinese recruits (Chinese Power) that will play in the SA Amateur League...

Said billionaire will also send an Iron Chef over to fix the meals at the Port Club.

This seems the most likely scenario.

New AFL facility in China - PAFC play one NAB game every season and in 10 years one game every season for premiership points.

Mega sports science/rehab facility we go to in lieu of Dubai each year for $nix.

AFL talent academy programme and 6 monthly draft camp analysis for us to cherry pick the best Chinese potential players from.

SAAFL to have a team of Chinese players - the best play with Magpies, and if any good enough we Cat B rookie them to the AFL side.

Bankroll indigenous academy to include larger group of players and also lower age groups (say 13 - 15 yo types).

PAFC to be given Melbourne;s AFL area in the NT as well as APY and far north areas as well as heartland Eyre Peninsula, and Yorke peninsula and Le Fevre peninsula plus zones from all sides north of the Torrens (Cows to get rest of SA).

PAFC to align female indigenous players from our SA zone and the NT with our SAWFL side(s) and build a talent base to direct link into a future AFL women's league.

Cross promotion with our indigenous academies visiting China and chinese academies visiting Oz to keep the link between PAFC and China alive and vibrant.

Buy or build inner CBD venue for pre and post match drinks - still keep Albertonas our heartland base though (this facility just for fans who live other side of town to 5015 postcode).

Entire debt paid off - bankrolled in a one-off hit :)

Alberton to have best rehab/training facilities in AFL.

THAT'LL DO FOR A START.

Side thought
I know of two big Sa companies that have started using Renault based off this sponsorship but are not in a position to say so

You do realise that Iron Chef is Japanese?

Yeah I know. They do have Chinese chef's from time to time though (or Japanese chef's that specialise in Chinese cuisine). To be honest I'd be happy if they turned the Port Club into a Yum Cha restaurant. Would be an improvement on the current set up...
