The lack of midfield depth has really crept up on us. We’ve had to target drafting lots of talls because we haven’t used early enough picks on them and it’s created a bare cupboard for developing mids, small forwards and small defenders.

Remember when recruited tinkle from the wafl despite Hayes performing admirably in the ruck. Then he played 5 minutes of game time and got injured, and our "brains trust" immediately decided to never play Hayes again and that tinkle was a bonafide star in the making...
