Going to be interesting now we have a coach who likes to beat the crows and was coached by a guy who liked to beat the crows.

For anyone that was there last night, how was the capacity? Is the Eastern side completely off limits? Feel like this could be choc a bloc and people could be turned away?

Was crowded but we were all pulled around to the grandstand side and behind the Port end goals. Where they had bean bags!

It could be tricky. We will certainly require space along the eastern side. How they do it in the confines of a building site I don’t know. Best chance is to be there real early

I see no point in playing DBJ in this game.
Have a good look at some snappy small forwards.

Stephensen, Barrett, hell I'd play Nick Moore in this game.
Visentini must play, and Marshall will have to cover one of the trio of tall turds.

Defensive matchups will be very interesting, as of course will it be Ports smalls or talls that do most of the scoring.

lol Nick Moore is not even on our list, how is he playing in this game? I just don’t get the DBJ hate, it’s way over the top.

Butters had a really solid hit out for Victoria. Travelled a bit. At this stage of the year, I’d be saving him for the following week rather than having him go around against the Crows.

Just management. We have to travel again the following week against Fremantle. He’ll get a decent hit out there.

He's not going to agree with that, the club would have to force that

Play him
Travel is all part of it. I’m sure he knows how to rest and recover properly

You assume I said it out of hate, I didn't.
We know exactly what we get from DBJ, and we only have a certain period of time to make decisions on other players.
That was my point.

I assumed Nick Moore could play as a train on player, that may be incorrect.

DBJ is not our worst forward but we need more than he offers if we want to be a real premiership chance moving forward.
He's also 30 - he's likely to drop in output pretty soon and the Carr era is just getting started.

I agree with others who say he will still be important this year though - we are just so weak in small forwards after all the development games that should have gone to good smalls instead went to guys who are no longer on the list.
