Sounds like Burgoyne was reasonable which is good. Anything else worth mentioning? Pasini a worry. Hasn't had a good pre-season. Tall defender stocks continue to be bit weak.

Good to see Darren Mead here watching his son.

Burgoyne was alright early, Hayes good, McKenzie good, Frederick was involved. Moore looks a very handy SANFL listed player, defended well.

Surman is a big boy, him and Edwards help Hayes in the ruck.

Good to see Williams are the top of the goal kicking table for the game 👌🏻 Praying he makes it
Didn't realise it was him at the end kicking his 3rd. His first goal where he out-wrestled the defender 1 on 1 was probably the best one of the 3.

It's different not seeing the old scoreboard apparently they've kept the facade tho' for future use?

Had to leave just before 1/2 time. RussellEbertHandball they looked like some true stalwarts you were seated between.
Haha. Spot on mate.

Brother inlaw on the left is 4th generation Port and John on the right was a friend of the late Natman, (he gave me an introduction 10 years ago) who had been involved in watching and recruiting kids for Port for over 30 years.

3rd quarter was as bad as the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter, but we played well in the last quarter. Skills picked up and we converted a lot of our opportunities.

He had a good last quarter, did more than just kick a couple of goals. Was a bit disappointed with his game at 3/4 time.

Cheers RossFC

How was Mayes? Thought he was everywhere the week before
Though he was noticeable in 2nd half of the 3rd quarter when we were struggling. I remember an important tackle he made. He was very good in the last quarter, did a lot of running and used the ball well.
