2nds Port Adelaide vs Glenelg - Round 14 @ Alberton

Sunday 21st of July 2:10pm at Alberton Oval.

For people that can't make it to the game the digital pass this year is similar to last year. If you are a member of one of the 8 other SANFL clubs you get every SANFL game (including all Port home and away games) live for $30, non-members of those 8 other clubs have to pay $60. Or for a 30 days pass it's $6 for members, $10 for non-members.

The game will be played a day after the AFL game so all emergencies will be able to play.

Trengove, Ryder and Pudney could be back. Frampton suspended for 2 weeks for a bump. Cox and Grundy still out. McKenzie hurt his back. AFL injuries to Wines, Burton and Ebert will weaken the side too.

Broadbent called up to the AFL side. We opted not to give Jackson Mead a game again.

We've also added a new player Charlie Morrison (From Henley Sharks) to our SANFL list.

We've got a weakened side here so it will be a tough test against top of the ladder Glenelg. We will probably remain 3rd unless Sturt smash Westies.

Don't the rules make it more or less impossible for us to win a final?
Rules are
If Power/Crows are still playing
No limit to who can play other than
17 AFL listed or 16 + leadership player

Once Power/Crows knocked out rules kick in
17 AFL listed or 16 + leadership player
Must have played more SANFL than AFL and 3 games after June 30

Yeah I think the 3 after June 30 is more about if they spend the first half of the year in SANFL, they qualify, and then they become really good and become a regular AFL star in the back part of the year, that they just can't come back and play SANFL after they've basically graduated to the next level.

So I'm pretty confident Trengove will be ok.

Trengove still 2 weeks away with his leg lacerarion, Ryder and Pudney are sick but could be back. Frampton suspended for 2 weeks for a bump. Cox and Grundy might still be out. McKenzie hurt his back. AFL injuries to Wines, Burton and Ebert will weaken the side too.

I reckon we'll see Sutcliffe dropped back down here. Predicting that Ladhams, Broadbent and Marshall could get an AFL game.

We opted not to give Jackson Mead a game last week but we are only 2 more injuries away from being forced to use him.

Something to look forward to, but the injuries in the firsts are going to cruel this season as well.

So if the right thing happens and with injuries and Garner atley Farrel Billy ladhams etc all play afl for the rest of the season...
Does that mean we can only field 8-9 players in the sanfl finals?

It's a damn good side. Ladhams/Hayes, Atley, Drew and Trengove is as good as any SANFL midfield we've had, and that's with 5 players still out of the Power!

Yep, still a strong side. I thought with Broadbent, Frampton missing plus Wines and Ebert injured we might have had a few holes to plug but having Trengove, Ryder and Pudney back has covered those losses well. Didn't McKenzie also have back spasms or something similar last week?

Been asked before probably, but is Corcoran any relation to the former Premier of SA?
From recollection Des Corcoran was a Port supporter.

I can't believe Mahney is still on the injury list. At worst he should be been back about a month ago on the original diagnosis.

Anyway that looks a handy side. Pity Wild Bill's not out there but still sets up another big match with a leading contender.
