It’s not ball movement that’s the problem, it’s talent.
Yeah unfortunately you might be right.

I'm more worried about the defensive actions, and the attacking options and space that should come off the back of turnover but just don't. Other sides find space, and out run us both ways all the time.

No doubt about that, but he's been very poor today. Had a shocker. No goals in 3 weeks now.

And how the * is he going to kick goals when he’s playing on the wing?

Should lienert garner drew all receive the same criticism for not kicking goals?

Frampton ladhams Hayes and Ryder have all been playing sanfl and none of them can play up the field

So Marshall’s been moved up the ground. He was excellent for 2 weeks. Last week was very good. This week yeah s**t but what the * would anyone expect from a 198cm 20yr old kf who is being played up the field in a shocking team performance where the midfield is getting slammed

Nice bit of play all game. Why can’t we do that consistently?

No doubt that mental softness is a huge issue with this group. Hinkley has bread a piss weak soft AF attitude.

We should spend a chuck of our preseason with the SAS and teach these blokes what hard work really is. Just leave out the physiological wank the crows tried to do... no tying blokes up naked to trees or blind folding them and blasting other clubs songs.

Find out who steps up under difficult conditions and keeps working and let’s find out who falls apart and wants to give up.

Nah I hate the ******* mental toughness bullshit.

You don’t learn how to play football by playing games.

And you can’t trick yourself into believing you’re better than you are.

It’s a ******* bullshit sold to people so they can make money off people not wanting to do the work and wanting shortcuts.

I’ve always said all the hoo-haa about Jordan believing he was the best... it only worked cause he ******* worked day and night on the court practicing skills and working in the gym. When he said he will beat you it was based off the fact he knew he could make the shot because he had done it a million times in practice

No amount of gritting teeth makes up for actually being able to do the thing you’re trying to do.

You wouldn’t tell a ******* heart surgeon to believe in himself and let him operate. You trust the guy whose spent decades learning and practicing

Mental toughness in no way makes up for being a footballer.

But if you can play well when there is no pressure (either because it’s game over in the last or your not a chance for finals in the last few weeks) you should be able to when the heat is on. We need the kind of people who when the going gets tough the step up and do what needs to be done not the kind of people that fall apart and want to pack it in.

People fall apart because they don’t believe in their skills.

Trying to fix that with anything other than practicing skills is hogwash.

Well disappointing. They just pressed back, won the ball and absolutely blew us away with their run forward. They made scoring impossible for us and we couldn't stop them creating easy opportunities.

The midfield battle was reasonably even, but they were a bit more damaging when they spread than we were and their defensive action was far better than our attacking method.

The last quarter makes that score look a whole lot better than it should.

Garner, McKenzie, Drew, Hewett, Frederick, Pudney, Ladhams probably our best.

and only one of those best players was in line for promotion before today's game, so much for wanting to impress Ken.

I don't know if we are allowed to promote a Cat B Rookie but I would not mind seeing how Martin Frederick goes at AFL level. If we loose this week we are cooked so why not give Frederick a game or two up forward? Ken would probably say, 'he isn't ready yet'. Frederick is quick and has that x factor like McDonald- Tipungwuti about him. He couldn't go any worse than Stephen Motlop.
