2nds Port Adelaide vs South Adelaide - Round 2 @ Alberton

Saturday 6th of April 2:10pm at Alberton.

For people that can't make it to the game the digital pass this year is similar to last year. If you are a member of one of the 8 other SANFL clubs you get every SANFL game (including all Port home and away games) live for $30, non-members of those 8 other clubs have to pay $60. Or for a 30 days pass it's $6 for members, $10 for non-members.

Looks like a doubleheader for the club on Saturday, watch the SANFL game at Alberton then the AFL side are on TV afterwards.

I'm expecting that Howard could be called up to replace Watts. Marshall (dropped for Sam Gray) could replace Farrell as the travelling emergency.

Grundy is not listed on the injury list so it's possible that he could make his SANFL debut and fill Howards spot in the backline. Lienert will also provide some defensive depth.

It's also an early season top of the ladder clash.

I think he’s been scaled back so yeah it’s more than 4 weeks.
The club keeps track using Microsoft time.

Surley Marshall comes in as do at least one of Johnson, Mayes and Garner.

Wont be taking all 4 emergencies. Two maybe ?

The way I see it, our list has 25 players. Those 21 called up, plus the 4 AFL emergencies.

4 AFL players in: Farrell, Grundy, Lienert, Marshall
2 AFL players out: Howard, Sam Gray

The list will be trimmed to 21.

5 AFL players are in doubt: Hartlett (inj.), Joel Garner (emerg.), Aidyn Johnson (emerg.), Sam Mayes (emerg.), and Todd Marshall (emerg.).

6 SANFL-only players were called up: Sutcliffe (c), Hill, Appleton, Corcoran, Mead (in), Elsworthy (in).

Sutcliffe, as captain, will play. The other 5 are dependent on how many of those in doubt will face the Panthers.

Any guesses?

If anyone is going to the game could you look out for #24 for South Adelaide. Hayden Sampson. I thought he was unlucky not to get drafted last year. Don't know if he is playing wing or small forward. He could be on the radar for a midyear rookie position.

I got a feeling that Marshall will get a week off as the emergency.

So pretty much I reckon it will be.

They surely won’t give Marshall a week off ! How’s his form going to get any better not playing ?

Could be Johnson instead, who knows. I don't think it will be Mayes, he was emergency 2 weeks ago. Garner is too left field.

Johnson travelling to Brisbane then?
I dont remember him mentioning anyone, but Mayes or Johnson would be my bet.

Jeez we got some tall timber this week. Marshall, Frampton and Hill forward, Ladhams in the ruck, McKenzie, Lienert, Grundy and Corcoran down back.

Lienert or McKenzie could play on the wing. Deep inside 50 entries.

About bloody time we had some height in the Maggies side.

Mind you Corcoran is only 187cm and 86kgs and McKenzie 191/83, so its not like we are way too tall.
