With the ball most of young guys look ok and positioning defensively not too bad.

Some of our young guys need to work on how how hard they work without the ball unrewarded.

Little bit of outside speed and a wing runner and a touch of class added to the team and we might be interesting.

Strange game. Worked the opposite to last week where it was slow start fast finish. This time it was fast start slow finish.

Pretty much won the game off the first quarter. Nullified the oppo for 3 quarters.

Reckon most of the second half we had at least 9 of the 12 SANFL contracted players on the ground.

We struggled in the 3rd quarter when we had a lot of these players around the ball.

Although Ethan Moore had a big first half and only noticed him once after 1/2 time, early in the 3rd quarter.

No real stand out among the AFL listed players. Hayes had a good solid and even 4 quarters. Thought Schofield had a good last quarter. Woodcock was good when he was on in the second half. Fredrick did a lot of nice things. Burgoyne's and Garner's first half were solid.

Thought Pasini got caught out by 6-6-6 rule a couple of times at fullback and and struggled when Goldsack was on the bench.

Couple thoughts now I'm home.

Mayes, Frederick, Hayes, Lienert, Woodcock all pretty good. Garner a little quiet, Pasini out of his depth a little at times. Lord competed at least until he went off hurt. Schofield ok in second half. Williams a couple nice passes that led to scores. Burgoyne pretty quiet, kicked an opportunistic goal. Goldsack good but then sat out the second half.

Need to work harder on pressuring the ball carrier when we don't have it. At times during the 2nd and 3rd, South waltzed it out of the middle a bit.

Forward line is pretty bare bones, looked worse with Lord off too and is almost all top up players if/when the likes of Woodcock play higher up the ground.

A few dumb frees, some actually there. At costly parts of the ground too.

Few guys looked a bit scrappy but what do we expect after most of them haven't played a proper game in 18 months.

Forward line is pretty bare bones, looked worse with Lord off too and is almost all top up players if/when the likes of Woodcock play higher up the ground.

When the AFL side gets cut back down to 22 and we get our 3 players back from injury, I'd expect Georgiades, Motlop, Woodcock (Drew in the middle) and Farrell to come in and play more up forward at SANFL level.
