Is Marshall starting to become a concern? Form is very off, and by the sounds of it he’s becoming Westhoff 2.0 rather than a Tredrea/Schulz conventional lead up big forward target like we hoped.
Too early but we appear to have players who are overtaking him.
Yeah I’d put him in the Hoff and Watts bracket. Dixon/Howard/Frampton are another type of forward.

Im certainly starting to get nervous about him, should really be looking a level above at SANFL level and he isn't doing that.

Not sure he'll ever be the key forward we thought we were drafting. Im not suggesting doing anything to drastic at this stage, but if that doesn't change soon (say end of the year?) Maybe then need to do something more drastic and maybe try turn him into a Westhoff like wingman.

So often he looks lethargic, like he doesn't really want to be out there nor know what he is doing. First step should be pairing him with a mentor and try see if that helps. Hope he isn't one of those "doesn't matter how good you are if you don't want it enough" kind of players... Certainly has the tools to be a very good player.

I remember how poor Impey was for the year following his father’s death. Can’t imagine what it must be like for a young lad like Marshall to be dealing with two deaths.

At the moment he plays like a tall spin bowler NOT like a tall fast bowler with attitude. Talent yes aggresive hunger for footy no...just an observation and that might just be his make up therefore play him in positions accordingly.

I agree. If you could put Big Bills anger and passion into him he’d be unstoppable. That just isn’t who he is however

Marshall played the forward role well in 2017. He lead up well that year. Of course we weren't handball happy under Chad and I think that quick and direct play is helpful to forwards.

That 20 point win even when we were 44 up was still underwhelming with the amount of ball that we had. We make it harder for ourselves.

Dixon was marked by Sturt's most experienced defender but wasn't phased. He ran under the ball a few times though. He could've taken more marks.
