Maybe. Visentini v Gawn could be a blowout. Also with the amount of frees called against Visentini for not obliguing to let the GWS ruck throw him out of every ruck contest, I fear what the umps will do to him when Gawn, who infringes without penalty more than anyone, comes up against Visentini.
Gawn sh1ts me. Literally umpires his own games and the umps oblige him.

Any chance Williams would be a better option up front than SPP?
He got his 2 goals from the back pocket and just pushed up. He can’t play forward because he’s too slow at pressuring.

SPP has the advantage in leg speed, but that’s where it ends for me. Williams couldn’t be any less effective than SPPs output last night, & it’s certainly not the first time he’s stunk it up.

Watched the second half on delay. Much, much better.

The competitiveness both around ground level (e.g., at stoppage) and in the aerial contests went up a lot.
Then there was the improved tackling and exciting overlap run, carry and handball.

Our handball was excellent in the last quarter especially, really good drawing of opposition players and then finding one of our guys free close to goal.

Special shout out to Sweet who rucked extremely well in the second half. Lachie Charleson looked like a completely different player than in any of his previous outings and had me wondering whether he could somehow still carve out an AFL career. We were also well served by Barrett as a small forward.

In the middle, Liddy made a big impact and combined well with Lorenz who deserves an AFL call-up and Watkins who probably deserves a spot on our list, the way others are going. McKinley provided great dash.

Over four quarters, I was most impressed by Rome Burgoyne - he looked so much more composed than previous weeks and had an element of toughness to his game, like his brother at his best. Lai also is a very promising type.

Whitlock, Lord and Soldo did what they needed to do with so much ball coming in, for each to get on the scoreboard. I like Whitlock - he looks like a pretty complete tall forward prospect. Good in the air, leads well, contests hard, more than reasonable below his knees, pretty good speed and a good enough shot on goal.

Pressure for spots!

Lorenz has to be knocking the door
Lorenz BOG, staggering he hasn't been given a run of AFL games. Liddy, very good, could play AFL this season. Lai is raw but definitely has high potential as a wing/half back. Whitlock developing really nicely, just leave him in the SANFL until next year. Sweet can do some unbelievable stuff, see him getting his spot back soon.
