Will be the first game at Alberton with the new AFL standard goal posts.

Prediction: Port Adelaide by 1 point.

I think Johnson and Howard will play. I'm interested to see what we do with Young, would expect he will be rested with that undisclosed shoulder injury.

Will be interesting to see who else we drop to keep Summo in as well.

As a one off it probably wouldn't be the worst thing for Ladhams to drop back for a week and play as the number 1 ruckman.

Unless they find form our unblemished injury list could spell trouble for the contracted Lobbe and Neade at year end.

That's the problem though, we aren't allowed to drop our players back to the Academy side. Instead they will just miss out.

This week 3 will miss, I'd be willing to wager it'll be Young, Krak and Irra who miss out. The first 2 due to niggles and the 3rd due to being left out..... Or we drop Summo, so will be interesting to watch

We'd be best off if we dropped Irra, Ladhams and Hewett but I can't see Ladhams missing 3 weeks in a row, or Hewett who has also had inconsistent game time due to injury.

It will be interesting to see how the midfield goes without Arch, in that very ordinary first half against the chooks he was the only Maggie midfielder who could get anywhere near the ball at the centre clearances.

Atley will be best on, bookmark it!

It's a complete travesty that rookie listed players can't be played in the SNnfool reserves - they can't play in the AFL unless they're upgraded, but instead may have to miss playing altogether if the squad has minimal injuries, as we're fortunate to have at present. * the SANfools!

Yep. Especially kids like Ladhams, Irra & Hewett that need to play as much as possible to give them any chance of developing and higher honours. Instead they'll be the first group on the borderline to miss games.

Perhaps we could hire them out to crows reserves. They sure as hell need some help.

Another good OP RossFC, thanks for your efforts. We don't live in a vacuum, things get noticed and I always look forward to you
opening the batting. When was the last time we played to new goal posts? gotta be a fair while. Lights next :).
This game 'll test us. Us at home to win. Academy looks strong again, at least 10 Magpies players there.

Yeah biggest concern as usual will be height if Ladhams plays, and ball winning ability with Young and AhChee unlikely to play.

If we can break even in the centre square we should win.

Young is eligible, and should play.

Re Ah Chee, isn't the rule still in place that no player can drop back to the Maggies until they are omitted from the Power line up, and with the bye that can't happen until next week?

Heading along to see the game this weekend, first time to Alberton to see the boys play. Looking forward to watching Todd Marshall, who I was following a little pre-draft. Should be a great game!

Goal Post Bandwagoner.

:p

Looking forward to this one. I hope our talls carve it up.

Enjoy. Check out the trophies and pics from yesteryear the merch shop and say gidday to a stranger.
You won't be snubbed especially if you've got some club gear on. Save some small change for the raffle
run by the girls who do the pre-game 'show' it's for a good cause (dunno what that is but it's good :)).

Wouldn't surprise me if we treat this like one of those weeks where the power play after the maggies and rest a couple of emergencies in case they are needed on Thursday night. Don't want someone to play of just a 5 day break.

Lobbe on the bench in the Maggies. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets the rest this week.
Edit: should have read the article first.

*Note one of the Toumpas's is supposed to be Austin.
