Aussies finished 4th on the gold medal table, did well but could’ve been better if some of our teams didn’t underachieve (hockey, swimming and women’s rugby).

Also not good enough that SA is the only state (ACT and NT not included) that didn’t have at least one gold medalist these games, that alone proves how much of a sporting backwater our state is and deserves a royal commission.

Izzy Borlase was a star for the Forestville Eagles BC btw. And her mum Jenny was a three times world netball championand Commonwealth Games gold medallist so Izzy was always destined to make her mark in sport.
