Started his speech just after the medal was awarded with;

“Shame on everyone who boo’d a champion”
He can **** off then, nobody was booing Pendlebury. Pendlebury was just the guy who happened to be standing there while they were booing the umpires.

Do NRL Coaches get fined for bagging refs? They seem to do it yet our coaches cannot call out diabolical performances. It is the number 1 thing that has me questioning following this sport for the last few years as it is the worst officiated sport in the world.

Umpires had long gone off. Was poor, Pendlebury thanked the crowed and the boos picked up.

Essendon fans should get roasted for this.

We will get reamed tomorrow and it is due to total incompetence. How can a sport be so badly officiated and the governing body go all 'nothing to see here'.
Because a large part of that bad officiating is on the shoulders of the governing actively trying to change the way the game is presented every few years.

We give players time to adjust to being a new club and a new system but umpires have their systems changed every season.

Excellent game. But heavily affected by whatever the umpires were trying to do. So many odd/missed/wrong decisions but not really favouring either side in total. One quite wrong and tone-deaf one giving a goal to Essendon's Baguley late might have changed the result but didn't.
Best team won. Collingwood soaked up pressure until the end despite a few of their players (Cox, Brown, Varco) not being up to it.

Absolutely. Umpires are given an impossible job and then we get surprised when they do it poorly. Hocking and co are more responsible for the state of umpiring in the game than the individual umpires are.

No. No it wasn't. I'm going to continue calling out people posting this incorrect fact until I stop seeing it.

McDonald-Tipungwuti was taken with the 22nd pick of the 2015 rookie draft. He was available to be drafted by any and every team, including ours. The WADA sanctions hadn't even been announced at the time, they weren't announced until a month later. His entry into the AFL happened to coincide with the supplements scandal, but the two are entirely unrelated.

And I've already specifically responded to one of your posts pointing all of this out before, so you have no excuse.
Ok. I stand corrected. I was really sure I read his name in the newspaper's list of 12 the EFC had been awarded to pick due to the WADA. Oh well a good rookie pick.

And they do it part time whilst likely having a 40 hour job in the week.

Remember how Russel Ebert was a FIFO player for Norf? That's basically what umpire are still doing 40 years later.
