Has anyone gone to North's board and told them that they've got a short sighted, reactive coach, have recruited the wrong kind of player and all this happens because they have a board who have been too focused on off field stability to notice what's happening in the footy department?

Allies: Dougal Howard's ability to play at either end of the ground in key positions is handy, but he's behind a couple of others for those roles. Key forward Charlie Dixon would've been in the mix, but he's a number of weeks away from returning from a broken leg.

South Australia: Co-captain Tom Jonas would be a walk-up start if it wasn't for a calf injury. The same goes for vice-captain Hamish Hartlett (hamstring), while young defender Ryan Burton also has a hamstring injury. Scott Lycett and Justin Westhoff are strong chances, Connor Rozee's made an impressive start to his AFL career and Sam Gray is around the mark as a small forward.

Victoria: Former skipper Travis Boak is in career-best form and demands a spot in the midfield or half-forward. Robbie Gray would've been considered, but he has been battling a hand injury.

Western Australia: Ruck/forward Paddy Ryder would be in the WA side, while midfield bull Sam Powell-Pepper probably just misses out.

In a nutshell: A strong presence in the SA team, as expected, with a representative in the Victorian and WA sides as well. - Lee Gaskin

Define ‘unders’ in relation to a player who has never won a Best & Fairest, All-Australian guernsey or medal of note (Coleman or better).

For his profile and purported pay packet you’d think he was prime Tredwoldt.

Speaking of Taylah, on the AFL website they have him as a certain selection for the Allies if SOO existed...do the people who write this s**t not watch footy? the guy is a myth.

Lol resurgence...Who is Lee Gaskin?

Allies: Crows co-captain Taylor Walker (NSW) is a certain selection.
Walker is rewarded for his resurgence this year to get a spot with the Allies. - Lee Gaskin

AFL 2019: Collingwood’s Brodie Grundy likely to sign new deal worth up to $7 million amid 17-man Pies cap squeeze.
Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy is reportedly likely to sign a new deal worth up to $7 million to stay at the club.
The superstar ruck is out of contract at the end of 2020 with speculation flying about whether he will remain a Magpie or return home to South Australia, having been liked to Adelaide in particular.
However Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph told Fox Sports News Grundy is “going to stay”, and will eventually sign a new long-term deal likely to be worth $1 million a season.

i feel like adelaide is very close to GWS and GC in terms of places a pick 1 just doesn't want to end up
Why? A number 1 going to a team who didn't finish bottom is huge. They won't have the pressure like most.

How appropriate. Ellis gets killed, and so does Hans - one because they thought they knew more about the situation than they actually did, and the other because they ran out of manpower and didn’t consider contingencies for a situation out of their control.

Kind of like this moron talking about our gamestyle when we had a forward line with 4 players that totalled under 50 games experience combined (Ellis) and you lot not appreciating that lack of experience will make an impact on the performance of the side (Hans).

Both are wrong for different reasons.

Deploy the ambassadors - Operation pump up aged reject to get Grundy!
Adelaide holds the aces to bring Brodie Grundy home from Collingwood in a multimillion-dollar play while Josh Jenkins looms as a wildcard in heavyweight trade machinations.

If Josh Jenkins failed to regain his spot from Elliott Himmelberg then another trade path could open. Jenkins, who finished an impressive third in club champion voting last year, is contracted until 2021.
Deploy the ambassadors - Operation pump up aged reject to get Grundy!

A nice hilarious one in the Advertiser this morning on Adelaide. In a perverse way you can't help, but admire the audaciousness of trying to spin desperately looking to offload Jenkins and his contract off their books into why they should be getting Grundy's services.

there's just nothing to get excited about at the AFC. it's like that old post by someone (should've saved the username) "Imagine being flown down to Adelaide to check out the "Adelaide Football Club" and expecting to be taken to a beautiful club room and Adelaide Oval, only to picked up by Sam Jacobs at the airport, be taken out to a swamp at West Lakes that looks like an ancient Greek stadium with the only actual venue nearby being The Lakes Resort."

That $15m will help.....

Regardless Adelaide isn't a bottom team, it'd be unprecedented to come into a team that isn't a basket case. Especially one that makes use of their late draft picks.

It was always going to be a tough ask to attract the king of the hipsters away from his kingdom. Pity though, if the Gibbs contract made a player walk then it would have been hilarious to see what happened if they threw $1mil+ a year at a player.

Don't worry, they're all convinced that Luke Davies-Uniacke will save them.

Admittedly this is proving hard to do from the VFL.

Settle down McClane. Everyone understands that losing key players is challenging but thems the breaks. Every team approaches every game with who they have available and they seldom have a full roster to choose from. You have to work around it.

We made choices, we chose poorly, we lost a very winnable game. La fin.
