Papley wants to go to Carlton

Will Carlton trade pick 7 to Sydney for him?

In turn, will Sydney then trade that pick to Essendon for Joe Daniher?

So a sliding style priority over 3 years for the Suns means they will continue to be raided.

2019 pre Rd1 + pre Rd 2
2020 mid Rd1
2021 pre Rd2.

Thats 4 extra players over 3 years + Darwin zone.

When do the subsidies stop? The AFL should outline when enough is enough and they will give up trying to prop them up. There has to be a no more clause.

On Saturday the Gold Coast provided Richmond with 3 premiership players from the same draft, 2010 ie #9 Prestia, #7 Caddy and #11 Lynch.

The GC dont have trouble identifying talent and even developing them. They have a retention problem. Fix that AFL not the stuff on the edges.

The over-the-top GC concessions will:

(a) further inflate the salaries of mid-range players who can make bigger salary demands to move there, knowing they have the trade currency,
(b) compromise the draft for the mid-table plodders to make sure these teams don't improve too quickly (Brisbane must have caught them off guard this year), and
(c) ensure a steady flow of decent young players back to Vic at the end of their sentences

Back-slapping all-round for the VFL methinks.
