Have the Crows themselves ever actually said a licensed premises for members is part of the vision? that'll never happen in the parklands.
Why do you think they want it to be closer to Roo's new pub?

It has always been about not having a club rooms and keeping the pseudo club room patronage for Hurley and Roo

Whilst I agree that part if the parklands is a complete desolate shithole, there's absolutely no chance of the clowns getting their hands on it. They couldn't get their hands on a facility that exists, there's no way they'll be able to build on Parkland where nothing exists.

The irony of the parkland preservation lunatics is they'll defend the concept that the parklands are for "Everybody", in areas where nobody uses them.

I reckon it could happen, I can drink a wine at Jolleys Boathouse, that happened didn't it? That's parklands?

In many ways Adelaide needs to grow up a bit.

They won't do somthing they can't sell a beer at, nor should they, I just think Covid might make things go smoother, money talks.

Now that the Adelaide round of the Supercars looks like a thing of the past, could Victoria Park be a possibility? It's on the right side of town for the archetypal Crows supporter.

Agreed, that is the perfect spot for them, however no public transport. They had mentioned that as a key item.

Going to the city brings $$$$$ which is key isn't it. Covid has been the perfect foil to give someone some $$, the ACC needs it and I reckon they will sort something out.

It's why Olsen was brought in.

fu** them, hope the council puts their foot down and says no way and they end up staying At west lakes
This. Worried that Olsen is in, as anyone else would have been a walkover imo.

Double standards letting them on the parklands.

The Adelaide Casino, Festival Theatre, Exhibition Centre, Intercontinental Adelaide, Botanic Gardens Restaurant, National Wine Centre, River Torrens Cafe/Red Ochre Grill, Adelaide Oval and War Memorial Drive Tennis Centre are all licenced and all built on the parklands.

A lot of people in here need to move in from anti crows do anything... we have a spiritual home, it’s not our problem.

Just win premierships and belt them in games.

Na I agree their 22 is pretty poor, but Sloane is a star. Wouldn't hesitate to grab him. Would swap Rocky for him in a heartbeat.

Talia would be a walk up start ahead of Clurey and McKenzie.

And Laird is probably getting a gig in our best 22 as well.

Sloane looks cooked. Last season he averaged 16d, never topping 18 and turns 31 before the season starts. On form he doesn’t make our emergencies much less our team. Rockys year last year was far superior. It will take some turnaround for a 31yr old to get back to his best. At this stage he’s just collecting a pay check to be a leader for the young kids.

talia had a horrid year last year. The worst year of his career he looked completely finished as a footballer.

both players might turn in a couple of good games for their club before they retire.

laird is a ball magnet and makes every clubs best 22, and would make absolutely none of them substantially better for it.

Crowie & Wrinkles on 5CC said they didn't need a licenced venue for fans to go to because they reckon hardly anyone goes to the venue post match. What they don't realise is where do fan go when the Crows play away? The Port Club was typically busy on an away game with fans have a meal and drink in the bistro and bar. Something we have missed the last year and miss this year because of Covid and now the redevelopment of the club rooms.

Might be less money from the state Liberal government due to their minority holding in parliament.

the away Guernsey looks great!

Thought Ollie was in the "clash" guernsey, not an "away" one?
Or did I miss a sarcasm emoji somewhere
I assume we wear the Jonas strip whenever we play Hawks, NM, Melb, GC, WCE, Freo, Bris, GWS, Geel, Cows, et al (either at home or away)?

We wore silver against Melb as the away team last year.

I also watched their trial to see how it lined up with ours and they look worse than last year. Our SANFL squad has more x factor than that club. I'm tipping them for another bottom 2 finish
I have to put my hand up and admit that I watched their internal trial but it was really hard to get a read on them, Pedlar and Berry looked pretty good but when you have the likes of crouch in the oppo it's not as if you're going to have any defensive pressure being applied - they should be good players but basing much on that trial would be silly.
Hately knows how to get the ball and then butcher it.
Flog is thinner but still lazy.
Worrell and Mcpherson should come and play for us please.

Oh yes, fully understandable Steve, thanks for clearing that up...

Why is the new VFL called the VFL?

The new VFL is a mash-up of the old NEAFL and VFL, with 22 teams from three states.

Non-Victorian teams weren’t thrilled by the league retaining the VFL name, but Hocking says it stacked up.

“It’s just the rich history of the VFL name. It has got an unbelievable history and so we have retained that for that very reason. We understand there is some other version we could have come up with, but we have got a competition that is going to be really strong as far as the eastern states at an elite level and it’s going to support the AFL well.”
