It honestly made me wonder why we bother. Even if we do manage to beat a system engineered to our every disadvantage, the whole thing's been so fisher-price'd will it even matter?

*gillon's pursed-lipped goggle-eyes thing*
It's true, it's so true.

It's almost unrecognisable from the game I loved and played in my woollen magpies Guernsey in the backyard at nanas house.

It's been so soccer-mumed and tv rights pimped out and it's just 5 shades of shit.

Will still barrack for them tomorrow but starting to think the dogs played their GF last week. For them and especially the media, just getting there seems enough.

Been said for three weeks now . I expect Sydney to win but wouldnt be surprised if this Footscray team battle to the death and make a good game of it. Talent. Midfeild and Buddy Franklin will win this game im afraid. My personal thoughts are a 30 40 point win to Sydney. The Franklin Tippet cup

No one is ever taking that record in a GF from us. No one.

But I would like to see Doggies convincingly rolled today because anything under a 50 point loss and we will still be subjected to those plucky dogs type hype for at least 5 or so years even if they do turn back to shit, longer if they stay reasonably competitive.

I'm glad I missed the Hollywood movie tribute to them or I may have taken hostages. I am still really salty as this was the easiest year to register a finals appearance and we stuffed it.

Carn Swannies and I don't even care bout them. Beautiful midfield though wish we could loot that.

The (Western Bulldogs) banners are written by a paid comedian from memory.
He's a professional comedian, but regarding the Doggies cheer squad he's I believe he's just some guy. I knew he was a genuine Doggies fan but the idea you raised that he might also be being paid intrigued me and I looked at a few articles. I think the word 'employed' as found in Western Bulldogs banners: Comedian Danny McGinlay reveals rejected slogans might be the key, I reckon it just means 'used'.

As if it mattered that someone might one day lose by 120 points.
I just want someone else to be humiliated it's not necessarily a number. But usually GF are I don't know, a little bit closer

but tbh it is worse that we are not featuring in any finals. That is hurting far worse.

It may be time to kill that thing with fire .. i am twitching

and the jacket too
Nah, I'm gonna frame it.

With a motivation slogan underneath that reads: "No matter how bad things get, just remember: It can never be as bad as this."

Sydney (10 goal loss) and West Coast (8 goal loss) were humiliated in the last 2 years, both games were largely unwatchable after half-time. But because of us it absolutely is a number now. Those 2 games are just considered a bit uneven in comparison to 2007's GF.

No one ever? Really, are you that confident are you?
What are you willin to put up in a bet?
I'll put my house up and bet that the record loss will be broken one day.

To say "never" is just stupid.

Exactly who cares.
Rather than hoping someone else cops a bigger hammering, our fans should be wanting to see our club nullify that "memory" by being a dominant football club with multiple flags in succession and over a period of ten-twenty years and so on.
For me I don't give a **** if the next 500 grand finals are decided by less then 3 goals. I want to see Port become one of the most successful in the AFL, that to me is of more importance than the insignificance of what margin other clubs lose a grand final by.

Stop being pissant South Australians, you're Port supporters not Crows customers.

You're right it doesn't change anything, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't take a small amount of pleasure in seeing that particular record taken off our hands one day.
I've just travelled to the alternate universe where that happened and guess what? Everyone concentrates on us and that game again, a lot! I'm glad to be back, where it's fading slowly into the past.
