Can GWS avoid having a big backward year before they get to a GF or win a flag?? History shows that all the expansion teams have had a significant backward year after 2,3, or 4 seasons in the league. GWS haven't had that big backward year yet. There is a thread on the main board called - Who will be the last team beaten by GC and GWS https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/thre...am-to-be-beaten-by-gc-and-gws.1004176/page-23
I put this graphic up in late May 2016. Since then GWS have beaten Richmond and North to only not have beaten West Coast and Collingwood having lost all 5 games to both teams. The GC aren't doing as well, having lost 7 and drawn 1 game to West Coast, lost all 7 games to the swans, all 8 to the hawks and all 9 to the crows. can't be arsed finishing it off.
Looks at the first 8 years of the expansion teams. It took that long for Brisbane to finally not lose to every team, they beat Essendon and Collingwood, that year, but had drawn with the Eagles a couple of years earlier. They didn't beat the Eagles until 1996 in their 15th attempt.
