11th inside 50 and 1st goal for Melbourne. Richmond 2 inside 50s for 2 goals. Melbourne should have had a free inside 50 when Grimes pranced out without making any attempt to keep the ball in.

I love watching the Adelaide media play down the Crows. Right now if we were performing like they are every media outlet would be pumping us up as the best team to ever don the Power jumper, and a near certainty for the premiership. However they refuse to broach that topic. Seriously from here if they don't make the GF their season will be a massive failure and if they dont win the flag they should be disappointed, that's how far above everyone they are right now.

..... Mind you with all the injuries they are copping at the moment it may indicate they went too hard to be ready to go from round 1 this year, and maybe it explains their outstanding start?

Totally agree. The way they are playing at the moment they will win the premiership and will be undisputed best team in the comp, not sure they could say that in 97 and 98 even though they did win the premiership.

Dusty is like Alen Iverson when the NBA didn't want to celebrate how great he was because of the gang fashion he was into. Can't help but think the AFL don't want to acknowledge how good Dusty is either. Bloody awesome player.

Dusty a great player who is easily marketable but also the AFL would feel that he's a bit of a shitty role model. which is the most important part of playing football to the league directors.

Martin is one of those players that makes time slow down when he gets possession. Robbie Gray is the same. Incredible players to watch unless they're tearing your team a new orifice.

NUFC, YES.
Melbourne's gameplan has a lot of ours when we blow games about it.

So much graft, up and back running, handball, spread, for so little dividend. One too many errant handballs, missed kicks and butchered shots at goal, only to be skinned with direct and efficient counterattack.

Should be much further in front.

If Melbourne don't have a winning lead at 3QT, Richmond will run all over them.

I ******* hate Richmond. I picked Melbourne tonight and am really hoping a loss tonight for the Tigers could spark a 3 game losing streak.

I dislike Richmond, but my utter hatred of that disgusting slug Simon Goodwin far outweighs it.

Domination in that quarter by Melbourne with 19 inside 50s to 5 and 105 disposals to 82 but they only have a lead of 3.4 to 3.1
Garlett has been pointless in converting their press into opportunities.

I don't think he's got to the drop of the ball once, nor effected a tackle.

'Pressure acts'/Running around looking busy no doubt through the roof, though.

The 'Let's Cross to Cameron Ling' Playbook:

'Gee, you love that from your key forward. Great play by [name]. Took a strong mark on the lead. Goes back, kicks the goal. Great play.'

'Gee, you love that from your ruckman. Great play by [name]. [Mundane action]. Great play.'

'Gee, you love that from your key defender. Great play by [name]. Doesn't lose his opponent, [takes mark/spoils], and saves a certain goal. Great play.'

'Gee, you love that from your captain. Great play by [name]. Tough, hard at the contest. That's what you want from your leader. Great play.'

Might be an unpopular opinion but he is one of those players that is great to watch when he's on a roll.
Nah, you can't be a proper football enthusiast if you can't acknowledge opposition players unless it is Troy Chaplin.

He has had a very solid career.
