What I've learnt from this is:
- Melbourne still have way too many mental demons, they were the better team for 3 quarters and they let a huge lead slip against a team notorious for their inability to win from behind. They completely lost their structure and shape in the last, completely unable to apply their forward press which was such a dominant feature of the first 3 quarters.
- Richmond are an ordinary team, they're feeding off the roll they are on and when they lose it'll implode a bit for sure. They relied on the individual brilliance of a couple tonight and without Riewoldt's flukey performance they would've been in trouble. What they did well though was apply pressure. That was the best performance 'pressure' wise I've seen all year. Regardless of whether it was wet or not, they closed out Melbourne's options all night and never allowed them easy touches. It will be interesting to see how that holds up against the outside slutting game plan of the Crows.
The Crows will win next week by 30-40 points I'd say
