If it was at the G maybe tiges a chance. Not even going to be close being played here.

Richmond a big chance at home, but im thinking this will be the start of their downfall. They'll lose the next 4-5 games.

I expected Melbourne to be better this year.

Their much hyped young midfield seems to lack quality ball users and struggles to cover enough ground. A bit like when North Melbourne thought Cunnington, Ziebell and Swallow could carry them to a flag but really they could never mix it with the best.

They are a 10-13 side yet again.

They have:

Adelaide -AO
Bulldogs -ES
Freo -MCG
Giants -SPO
Essendon -MCG

I'd say if they get two wins out of that lot they'll have done well

Richmond is a pressing side, has a decent midfield with Prestia and Cotchin and has an AA back in Rance that will negate Walker. Your backline is too tall to cope with Martin, Reiwoldt, Costagna etc.

It will be like the Showdown was. If you roll in thinking it's only Richmond and who have they beaten, you'll get done over. You need to play how you did against us (which is looking more and more like an aberration now due to the opponent and not from an actual caring about defence) and you'll win.

You do know that Tex has toweled up Rance every time they've played on each other to the point Richmond resorted to putting Rance on Betts last year? (Betts also gave him a thrashing).

We care about defense when we have to. Why worry about a goal out the back if it helps you kick 3 more out the front. There's a reason we have the best percentage in the competition despite playing 2 top 4 contenders in GWS and Port.

It is this exact argument that has led your club to failure in the finals.

When was the last time a team based on attack won a flag???

Best to create defensive habits now ready for September.

I didn't realise kicking 2 goals from 13 disposals was considered "toweling up".

You do realize that the year you're referring to is when Tex was coming back from an ACL and significantly off his best?
We really don't need a 'how good is Texathon' mate he's 26 and has never been an AA he qualifies as one of the most over-hyped players in this city ever.
