McDonald-Tipunguwuti has only had 3 disposals(all kicks) so far but he has been clever with them. The last one to set up that Fantasia goal was especially smart.
Changed my tip to the Dees just before last nights game and for a while it looked like it would come off. Didn't change this one(I have Essendon) and hopefully I will get this one.
Essendon are 2-2 with a percentage of 92.7, Fremantle are eighth with 3-2 and a percentage of 78.4 so if Essendon win they will be in the eight.
Joe Daniher looks good. 7 disposals, 3 marks and 1.2. And he would probably have had 2.1 if Mason Cox hadn't managed to get a finger on him as he kicked for goal.

fair play for having the New Zealand national anthem pre-game

the letters N and Z appear in the acronym ANZAC too
I don't remember them previously playing the NZ anthem before the game, but I haven't really watched the pre game stuff for around a decade and it was a bit of a fluke I turned on the TV and caught it as I thought the game had already started.

Nauseating repeated commentary we don't need to hear more than once.( Will work out the collingwood players ones next quarter.)

McNiece - "has started well"
McGrath - "number one pick"
Kelly - "closing in on 300 games"
McDonald-Tipungwuti - "great pressure"

Sidebottom and Pendlebury looking sloppy and average. Varcoe about their only player that looks damaging, which is saying something.

In the past these games have generally been very 50/50 with a few exceptions and maybe one team gets a lead but you can feel the other team likely to come back. This one just doesn't feel like that. Essendon were 20 points up, Collingwood kicked one to be only 14 points down but it just didn't seem they were likely to make any run. Sure enough it was Heppell who scored the next goal for Essendon to lead by 20 points.
