Dees get talked up during the week as a dark horse for the flag & get whipped at home by a finals hardened side.

Maybe in a year or so but right now they still have games where the flaky side from previous years appears showing up the number of average players filling their best 22.

"You tipped Melbourne to win by 16 points"

Melbourne arent good enough to win 4 games in 18 days. How the **** the AFL can schedule 3 consecutive 6 day breaks to a team is beyond me.

Mind you Sydney's goal kicking in the 1st quarter gave them hope.

They actually improved their accuracy on last week, where they scored 11-20 :D

It was the premier time slot until the AFL gifted it to pleb teams, like Carlton and North Melbourne, over a long period. It has no special value now.
That is incorrect.

North Melbourne invented Friday's and nights and football.

Check your historing books.

So win tomorrow and given our percentage we will be 2 games inside the top 4.
...which means we will probably trail by a goal or two for most of the game, allow Richmond to kick five consecutive goals late in the third-quarter, and mount a comeback in the final fifteen minutes of the game, but fall just short of victory.

'Yeah, nah, look, I think our boys played well today. We just didn't make the most of our opportunities. We'll learn from that and rebound next week'.

Out:
Tried and failed fringe player.
In: Tried and failed fringe player.

When the security of top four is up for grabs, this is how our script plays out.

Melbourne - biggest bunch of front running faux tough campaigners there is. Hogan, Lewis, Bugg - it's a culture thing with this club to punch players.

That being said...if I was being coached by Simon Goodwin, I can understand why punching someone in the face would be top of mind during the game...

Bugg to talk to channel 7, might be his chance to sound out a few character references.
The guy has no chance. He had already taken the mantle of biggest ****stain in football from James Sicily, weeks before this incident.

Its not about getting off. He knows he will get 5 or 6 weeks. Its about controlling the story. The tribunal doesn't sit until Tuesday night the MRP late Monday arvo. So get out front and say I ****** up, I will cop my whack - stops every car park journo stalking him for an interview. Good media strategy.

I remember *someone* from the Cows being interviewed years ago, might even have been Wrinkles himself, claiming that Melbourne were the team they hated playing the most. Niggly, entitled ****s who had never done anything of note in anyone's living memory. Or words to that effect.

You have to ask what Bugg was thinking, this week of all effing weeks. If the Houliasco doesn't sink him, Big Bad Barry's comments will.

It was more a comment on the previous poster re: character references. Bugg would have none of those.
