Just randomly remembered this from a couple of years ago:

Legitimately one of my favourite football moments I've ever seen live. The crowd went up like somebody had just kicked goal of the year.
I was convinced that the turf is dodgy down that end.

Watch from 5:15 and check out the bounce Gia got. Would have been nice if he did completely stuff it up since he sniped Polec just moments before the old campaigner

We were 11-2 and clear top of the league after that game. The Dogs went 4-9 in 13th.

By the end of the year their captain would walk out and they'd sack the coach. We'd miss a Grand Final by a few points.

Two years later they'd be premiers. We haven't played finals since.

Footy.

Worst Premier in decades. Even worse than Adelaide 98 and they triggered a complete overhaul of the finals system.

If only our hard luck story qualified for a certified fairytale finish.

If only we could capitalise on a 11-1 start to finish in the top four instead of collapsing in winter. #controlyourowndestiny

If you'd said at the start of the year we'd finish 5th you'd have taken it.

Oh no doubt that's the preferred option, but shit wouldn't it be nice if Jonas got an in the back instead of holding the ball.

Meanwhile they're bringing back the slide tackle at the Whitten Oval.

There's only so many times I can console myself with the realisation Hando is wearing a Scray t-shirt when he gets killed in Romper Stomper.

Don't know who I want to win tonight. Would love to see freekickbullfrogs get smashed to soften them up next week but also want GWS trying in there last game against Geelong as it could be a critical game for us.

Great to see a dodgy free given against the Bullflogs, pity the goal couldn't have been kicked
Only thing dodgy about that free was BT saying it was a dubious free. The ball was picked up in the pack and instead of trying to dispose the player tried to break the tackle. The rule when you do that is you get one chance and one chance only. But frees are still well for the Bulldogs as you'd expect. 7-2.

The Arsenal
Bont such a good player. A massive problem with our mids is they can't deliver the footy to leading forwards. Polec probably the only bloke I'd say comes close. Not very close mind you.
