Pretty amazing Fujitsu first signed on during the Doping Scandal. The Big Clubs have so much pull I guess...

Essendon's major sponsor recommits, helps fuel Tullamarine expansion

Essendon are planning to pour millions of dollars into a two-pronged development of their Tullamarine headquarters, which will include a new epicentre for a women's team and the VFL side.

It comes as the club re-signed one of its co-sponsors, Fujitsu, in a deal believed to be worth a whopping $10 million.

Fujitsu, who first committed to the club at the end of 2013 – when Essendon was in the depths of the biggest doping scandal in AFL history – has recommitted for another four years in a significant moment in the club's financial growth.

A mate who has lived in Qld for close to 25 years sent me a list this morning of 10 players who have left the Lions during the last 3 or 4 years.

Most of them, incl the likes of Polec, Yeo, Handley, Crisp, etc, would walk into their current team, and you would think make them a lot stronger.

If the number 2 draft pick from last year (Schache) has returned to Melbourne, and the rumours are correct that he won't play for Brisvegas again, then the AFL will have to do something, or that club will become an even bigger basket case than it is now.

It reminded me of this eyesore.

lol, then we belted them off the park. Glorious.
To add insult to injury, I understand that neither the football club or hotel owner sought approval for this advertisement. The Adelaide City Council allegedly ordered it be removed when they found out, though I don't think that was widely reported (shock, horror).

Edit: I wonder if the accompanying 'Crowify Your Business' competition ever took off?

Former Port Power stars Cam O'Shea and Andrew Moore will be playing for the VFL against the WAFL on Saturday. In a major selection bombshell, Mason Shaw did not make it into the Sandgropers side.

Given the above reference that Mason Shaw's non selection was ` a major selection bombshell, ' can I assume he has been performing well in the WAFL GD?

Maybe I am being harsh, but I thought some posters over rated him a tad when he was on the Power list, and I wasn't that greatly surprised when he was delisted.

Quite deliberate and when brought up in Parliament by the fiberals Labor countered that the buses were a certain colour scheme.
The fact that the the colour scheme of the back of a hospital was brought up in parliament says a lot about the state of politics in South Australia.

Nah,I was just being sarcarstic. TBH I don't follow the WAFL closely enough so I can't say, but these stats aren't anything earth shattering:

We were just excited to have finally drafted a player exceeding 180cm in height.

You know, like nearly every other sport and business in the world does!
Except basketball , baseball , soccer , rugby cricket etc all have dozens of countries playing the sport and a talent pool of 1000's to the tens of thousands as opposed to like the 500 professional and 500 semi professional athletes we have. And if you were to narrow it down to a competitive 23-29yr old prime age bracket we probably only have around 200 as a total pool. That is minuscule as a talent pool when compared to something like basketball and one of like a 1000 reasons why a full on free agency wouldn't work well for our sport.

Not too mention that in those sports

A) they rarely rarely develop the players. colleges and foreign leagues develop like 90% of their talent pools. Can we do that with football?

B) in every other team sport the expected career of an average good player can be 13-18 seasons. Football is more like 8-12 seasons.
