Neil Kerley has 2 and 4 across 3 clubs, although 2 were as a playing coach - West (p/c & c), South (p/c) and Glenelg (c)

Edit: Haydn Bunton Jr is an interesting one - he had 3 flags as captain-coach of Swan Districts and 2 as coach of Subiaco, but he never tasted premiership success with the 4 SANFL clubs he was with as a player and coach.
Hasn't Jodd Todd coached flags at 3 or 4 clubs?? The WA star players moved between clubs a lot more than SA greats post WWII.

Yes - 1 with East Freo, 4 with Swan Districts and 1 with South Freo (courtesy of a Scott Spalding 50 metre penalty in the dying stages). None as a player with South though.

Todd was bloody unlucky. I remember reading about him as a teenager. South had won the previous 3 in a row before he made his debut and won 6 of the last 8 or 9 flags, wins the Sandover medal as 17 year old, beats Polly Farmer and early in his 2nd year does an ACL, when knee ligament operations didnt exist, South make the GF without him, he has to play with a brace on and ekes out another 100 odd games over a decade and gets selected in the All Oz side in the 1961 carnival. I grew up thinking he was WA's Barrie Robran re a knee injury never allowing to reach his peak.

The cow idiots wouldn't want the Dees to finish high on the premiership table .. this is because they have plans for the 1st round draft pick they got for Lever ...

but it will be funny to see the cow supporters tears if the Dees finish top 6 (for example)
Or finish top and lose to us in a GF :)

Knightmare expects both Lukosius and Rankine to be in the mix for the top position. Seems like the cows are expecting one or both of them to slide due to a perceived go-home factor. Even if the Dees finish outside the eight it would be unlikely the cows would get better than the eighth draft pick from them.

Jack Lukosius
The most exciting key forward in recent memory. Lukosius is a Nick Riewoldt clone who simply cannot be defended. If you stay back and don't chase him up the field, he will endlessly take marks up the field. If you chase him up the field, he will push forward and punish you. A simply special player who will be in the pick one conversation in 2018. Four goals on SANFL League debut in a final a sign of things to come.

Izak Rankine

Avoids and manoeuvres around players smoothly with rare evasiveness, agility, acceleration, change of direction and anticipation. He is freakish with his ground ball pickups, possesses reliable skills under pressure and also hits the scoreboard in bunches. His production is strong and he is a proven contested ball winner. Complete package and the early front-runner for the No. 1 selection in 2018 after 10 exciting SANFL League matches.

He is also punished by, you know the ACTUAL LAW.
Most of us would be gutted if we were punished by law AND work (assuming you don't drive for a living).

How many here would graciously accept a $20 grand fine and community work on top of their drink driving ban?
How many of us get paid salaries well into six figures as a direct result of being in the public eye? How many of us have salaries that are derived from sponsorship money given to our employer based around its on and off field image? How many of us are community role models who are required by our employer to visit schools to talk to teenagers about healthy lifestyle choices?

Didn't say he shouldn't be.

I find it interesting that they have us ahead of Geelong with Ablett. I also would have thought Melbourne would be higher than a few others listed above them.

I'm all for looking at innovative ways to engage with a market but there's something about this that's a little too far removed from football for my liking.
Not sure where the connect is going to come from. (inb4 "China herpa derpa")

Aside from that, the Crows don't seem to be a brand that would make inroads into this market anyway. It reeks of Smart going along to a conference and coming back with the latest ontrend buzzwords for his strategizing and futurecasting.

Maybe the Crows will be our next major sponsor in an effort to come to where the cool kids are at?

Hawthorn look well high just inside the top half at 9.

Melbourne look low.

The rest seem about right.

FORMER Gold Coast list manager Scott Clayton has joined West Coast's recruiting department.

Clayton's role is a newly created one, in which he will be involved broadly across recruiting and list management, while he will continue to be based in Melbourne.

West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett was thrilled to have Clayton join the club.

"To secure a person of Scott’s standing based in our Melbourne office is an exciting appointment," Nisbett said.

"His experience and standing in the industry is unquestionable and we look forward to him imparting that knowledge to the benefit of our club.

lols for the bold bit.

The 21-year-old's departure was mired in controversy when Lever was asked not to attend Adelaide's club champion award - a function which happened before a trade was brokered.

Pyke says the Crows learned some lessons from Lever's exit.

Adelaide captain Taylor Walker admitted to having a "blunt" conversation with Lever after the defender requested a trade.

And there were unsubstantiated allegations that a core of senior Crows players asked Pyke not to select Lever for the Grand Final, believing the defender wanted out of the club.

But Pyke himself saw no evidence Lever had made up his mind to leave before the season decider.

The Crows are mastering the rare double act of losing a player and self-destructing in the process.

If Sloane does leave, I'm more interested in the self immolation than Sloane actually leaving.
