I reckon things would have been markedly different for us if 1) we converted our first and final quarter shots on goal, starting with Watts' first set-shot for the game and 2) we had limited the influence of Martin.Rather embarrassing for us
We kick a couple of those points in the first and the margin blows out and they drop their heads.5 more scoring shots than Brisbane. Hardly the difference. You're right though they were probably mentally zapped from last week and 2nd week on the road.

We kick a couple of all those blown chances in the last and the game is iced and they drop their head.
Either way you look at it the game was only close because we let it be.

They had 4 more than we did...True but when you get hammered in contested ball by kids its not because we wasted our chances. We are better than that. Just got lazy.
Overall but they absolutely smashed us at the end of the third and 4th. Went in much harder than us. We were lazy and hardly wanted to lay a tackle. They had 4 more than we did...

i wonder if steve price reckons richmond should go back and play at punt road?Richmond 90,000 members but only 25-30k at the game.
Richmond 3 games at the MCG, 3 games that they've won and looked good. 1 game away from the MCG and they looked terrible. How did last night's performance make Richmond's in Round 2 look?
You can bait and switch early results in isolation to suit whatever narrative you're after.
The only truth that resonates is W's and L's.
Brisbane played a ripper last week, and they still only got close because we didn't convert. But they're always going to struggle as a young team to stay at that level
Probably suffering a little let down too after playing so well and not getting the result.
Yes they did, and we didn’t convert, and we didn’t play as well as we’d like. Oh and Richmond are flat track bullies anyway. Some may say we resemble that remark. At least last year we did. This year who the **** knows. Even Freo are taking it up to GWS courtesy wind, poor kicking and a little bit of hanging the **** on while you can.
Let’s not forget to also blame the extreme heat they/we played in last week. But not tomorrow. No frigging excuses, not even non-ruck selection.

You could also say we destroyed Brisbane's morale last week.
Not saying we did but we might have.
They think that Sloane will NAB them the Saints 1st .. Which will be # 1, 2 or 3. Really?
Come round 8, Don Pyke might have to pull the boots on for the Showdown - they'll have nobody else left.....Rumour has it walker has a plantar fascia injury. Been advised by the club he needs to go into surgery however he wants to just manage it. BT broke it on Triple M .. so possibly take it with a grain of salt. Not great though. Chronic injury to Walker, crouch and now betts gone for a month.. no kisses on the dick this year.
