Never realised they had the wood on us so much.
Makes me less confident after last week that we can actually turn it around. View attachment 484292
I actually am stunned at people's confidence. We don't seem to have improved all that much and yet people saying 'win against Geelong and North and move on' with great regularity. I must have missed a series of meetings that explained how we suddenly can just rock up and beat the grind out a win from nowhere specialists.

Seriously?

We've beaten them once since "Cassisi does win it!".

They could roll out Paul Koulouriotis and the Malakellis brothers and still be a chance.

Edit: in fact, the ledger is 2-17 since the 2004 QF. Bloody hell.

They have been a super team over that period and from the end of 2007 to 2013 we were 6 types of shit.

What has irritated me during Hinkley's reign, when Geelong have been good, but not great, is that like West Coast in Adelaide, we continue to lose to them in the same way, with either a shit game plan and/or terrible selections. If we constantly kick it to their marking defenders again with Dixon 1 on 3, I AM GONNA SPEW!

The ones that really hurt are the ones we should have won. I'm thinking of the 2013 semi final and the absolute debacle last year at the Cattery.

Here's the thing, unless Henderson and/or Taylor get up for this one, Dixon and Watts should have an absolute field day.

Of course we'll be forced to water down this clear and obvious advantage by shoehorning Dixon into the ruck to counter Voldemort Stanley.

I had lunch at Caffe Primo, saw Die Hard 4 across the way and got home in time to see the fourth quarter.

Nothing but blue skies, sport. Nothing but blue skies.

Pretty sure you officially switched allegiances not long after...

The Tribey curse.

I like to think it was the enchantment of my "attend Tredrea's 200th/Boak's debut/meet finbarr & spend an insane amount of time making a 10-minute Tredders highlights YouTube which snapped a 4-game losing streak" presence.

I'd put money on Spiro for BOG

Lol. What in the world.

Yeah lets stop doing what we've been doing for years to show our upmost respect.

To be fair some of the "hype" around ANZAC round bothers me too. ANZAC Eve? When did that become a thing? Even c7s promotion of the day says to "celebrate ANZAC Day with us". Maybe I'm getting old but I thought you commemorate this day? I've seen fb posts saying "Happy ANZAC Day like it's Halloween or something. Imo the afl ****ed this up by referring to tours of duty when talking about Collingwood/Essendon players who play 25/4. I get we show respect but it's been ridiculously co-opted by sport.

That f**king 2016 game. Had the wood on them in the 1st quarter, and were taking it up to them physically. Then that melee happened, and we just completely dissolved thereafter. I hated that game.

Pittard absolutely wrecking that Ruggles spud was pretty funny though.

Ahh yes Ruggles. AFL footballer or WW1 Sopwith Camel fighter pilot?

“Tally Ho Ruggles”

As an ex serviceman and veteran of multiple operations, it is my favourite round.
One thing how ever that grinds my gears is when they try and reiterate 'blokes doing battle on a footy field' and try and spin it into something that's similar to that of real combat.
Give me a spell.

I was watching a sporting event a little while back (can't remember what it was now, Commonwealth Games has burned out my memory) but the commentators were talking about how one country's team was watching the film Unbroken the night before for inspiration. In a nutshell, Unbroken is about Louie Zamperini. He ran in the Berlin Olympics, then joined up for the war effort, survives a crash landing in the ocean, nearly 50 days living on a raft in the ocean, is captured by the Japanese and taken prisoner in a POW camp and treated brutally.

Anyway the commentators say how the athletes were watching the film and their event was gruelling so they would have some idea of how Zamperini felt. I was actually outraged by that comment. Sorry fellas, but they would have no idea.

Where have you been since the 2004 flag. Since then its been 2 wins 17 losses.

Since we beat them at Kadinia Park in 2007 - thanks Dom - its been 1-13

Our recorded is atrocious against these campaigners at home or away or neutral venue.
