As opposed to an 8 hour desk job? Couple in the sitting watching Netflix or whatever you'd do after and I don't see how it's drastically different.
The sitting watching Netflix thing is a really good point.

People try to be active at work then just go full potato on the couch once they get home.

I’m an extremely bad example of this, personally.

Sedentary behaviour is really quite bad for you, breaking it up every half an hour to an hour even by just standing up and taking a few steps is really helpful according to studies done by Baker IDI in Melbourne.

Good on the 18 coaches and the coaches association for all deciding to go down the slide for the Big Freeze MND fundraising for Neade Daniher's appeal at Queen's Birthday game. Even Buckley and Goodwin will go down the slide into the ice water before the game. Wonder what Kenny will wear.

Shows how much respect they have for the Reverend. Tim Watson asked him what's happened to him in the last 12 months and he saId his right hand side has become paralysed. Its great to see him in such positive and happy mood talking about his condition and driving his cause to raise enough money to help find a cure.

Hard not to feel good about this footy story.
Hope they have someone to refill the pool at the bottom after big stewy goes down

I’m not really sure anyone can have a gaming addiction. Doing it too much is very different from having an addiction. I suppose in rare cases?

Playing or watching esports doesn’t have to be unhealthy either, it depends on the individual but it can definitely be a way to escape from stress or melancholy to an unhealthy degree.
Then you don't actually know what addiction is, and what causes it. It's all in the brain, stop thinking alcohol and drugs, think pornography, and you will understand that anything can become a genuine addiction, and gaming is right up there!

Northern crowds are fickle. I hear and read about expansion this and that, but seriously its a hard nut to crack. No one talks aussie rules up hear in brissy without being poked. Ive been up here for 18 years, in that time have worked three different industries, all the same.

Sydney siders are even more fickle, but, in full respect, they have a festival, gallery show, gig, stand up, etc, of international proportions every fortnight. In the ever changing media zeigeist its hard to get a toe hold. But something is better than nothing.
Queensland is the Aussie Rules what SA is the League, only a population explosion or a nuclear explosion will change it.

People at an 8 hour desk job often don’t LIKE it so of course that isn’t an addiction. They would also walk around, have coffees, meetings, lunch breaks, talk to people etc while I know a heap of gamers who can play for pretty much 10-15 hours straight days in a row without getting off the chair, and I would think this is likely if not worse for a lot more intense gamers.

The e gamers in China have share houses and can spend up to 72 hours straight at the computer, rarely standing up and using speed and other drugs to stay awake and focused, that is an addiction in my eyes.

Surely they're not taking speed? Energy drinks and lollies sure but I can't imagine a bunch of nerds snorting lines.

I had a mate who worked as a power leveller for a while. Half a dozen dudes in a basement for twelve hours a day.

Made alright coin doing it.

There is always the cool nerd who would be into it. A minority but as Cringley wrote in his seminal book on Silicon Valley nerds Accidental Empires, they are out there. Steve Jobs admitted he wouldn't have been as successful as he was, without taking LSD. His apple co-founder Steve Wozniak refused to touch it.

Actually pretty consistent really. Just not in a way that makes sense.
Round 1 - win away
Round 2 - lose home
Round 3 - Win home, but GWS, so not travelling opponent
Round 4 - Win away
Round 5 - lose home
Round 6 - win away
Round 7 - lose home
Round 8 - win away
Round 9 - win home
Round 10 - win away

So taking out the local derby they are 1-3 at home and 5-0 away. They should still win, but for some reason they are a much better side away this year, then at home.
Sydney normally bully teams at the SCG with their big mids. This happens to be a strong point for Port and North who have both come away with wins there this year. Even so, both games were reasonably close and they would've beaten North if Buddy wasn't injured.

The Crows loss was the only real weird one.

I think they're still right there in flag discussions.

I could’ve sworn Brad Crouch was ruled out for the season like a month ago. I feel like I’ve been Berenstein Beared.
Campbell Brown released an article a while ago saying he was done and the Crows lawyers sent him a letter telling him to cease and desist.

But how would Brown have known this inside information...who is the mole...and why is Kyle Cheney still on an AFL list?

Burton has no idea what he’s doing. How many adductor and hamstring injuries have the Crows had?

Comes from not activating the glutes before training. Studies have shown that those who don’t fire the glutes before hard work outs suffer hamstring strains, hip/adductor issues, chronic ankle/foot issues, low back pain...everything that has affected Adelaide this year.

And why? Because doing these exercises before training would have been seen as a “waste of time” when they had only a limited window before the balls came out. Even though weak muscles are the cause of a weak synergist muscle.

Why do we focus on running/sprinting? Because sprinting activates the glutes - max sprint speed is related to glute strength.

So Burton's successful 2017 fitness program was really spill over from the guy before?
