So much this. Our predictability of falling over every time there's a hint of expectation placed on us. 2015-2018: the most mentally weak Port Adelaide side in my memory.
I’m starting to really think as long as the current coaching group is together it will get worse.

I'd love to get our hands on Neil Balme. The man has a remarkably golden touch. Geelong, Collingwood and Richmond all tasting ultimate success with him in charge of Footy Operations.

Brisbane get belted after nearly beating us.
Essendon get belted after beating us.

If Geelong somehow get wrecked, at home, by a Sydney team missing Franklin and Hannebery... then sometihng f*cky is going on.
I wouldn't back any team beating Geelong at their s**thole...not bcoz I think they're a good side, but they do get looked after down there.

Not sure Bucks is the answer but I’m 100% sure Ken is not the answer.
Would be good to have around the club in another role but my Beagle would make a better coach.

When the rot sets in at Essendon there seems to be nothing players on field.Or the coaches can do to stop the bad momentum swing.Shift Hooker or Goddard to different ends of the ground. The players start giving there teammate's sprays. If the Bomber's don't start well you can guarantee there in for a long day.

Essendon played today exactly the same as we did against Geelong. Every goal they got was tough while Collingwood got 7 from within 15 metres.

The cause...slow backwards chipping around to maintain possession through uncontested marks, never taking the game on through the middle and just switching (but so slowly that the opposition had time to run to the far side of the ground) until they eventually just kicked it down the line for a throw in (to further back than they had started on the other wing, but now having lost clear possession)

On a more positive note, this year has already shown how quickly clubs' fortunes can turn around. Already we've seen Collingwood, the Kangaroos and even West Coast turn their fortunes around in the space of a week after pessimistic forecasts. Fremantle are now also tracking ok, after our round 1 pantsing of them.

Somehow we have to get back to playing fast, unrestricted, attacking, team-oriented, enjoyable footy

However we are not likely to do anything of the sort. So whilst it would be so easy to just kick back and play a bit more instinctive footy this is NEVER going to happen so it would be just as easy to hope Port Adelaide win the lottery so they can pay out their coach and get someone to do this.

I got banned from their board today. Their supporters are deluded.
You got banned for this:

It is an absolute disgrace and blight on Christian and the AFL that Mitchell and Burton have not been suspended.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for Mitchell's act to be graded careless, as no one carelessly raises their arm above shoulder height to elbow an opponent in the head.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for Burton's bump to not be reportable because the Tribunal Guidelines specifically make reference to accidental head clashes as being a potential consequence of electing to bump when tackling was an alternative.

These gradings are contrived. Hawthorn FC has been kissed on the dick yet again, and **** me, I am sick of it, and so apparently is Robbo.
I mean come on man, even if you are correct (personally I think all 3 hawks along with Selwood, got off lightly) you don't go and say shit like that on another board. You've been on BF for 10 years now, don't be a dick.

But I guess you got your little ban to brag about though, so mission accomplished?

What a bummer of a 14 days we've had:
1. Todd Marshall family tragedy.
2. AFL rat-shit performances against Essendon and Geelong, with the damning stat that we were the lowest scoring Rd5 team on our home deck against a Geelong side without Taylor, Henderson, Ablett or Hawkins
3. Powell-Pepper saga lingering 14 days too long, and resulting in an extra week off.
4. Lindsay Thomas being crucified by the media and suspended for 4 weeks.
5. SANFL side drawing in an ugly encounter with the Eagles and then losing to Sturt again.
6. A seemingly endless list of important players out of form
All of this after going into the Brisbane game in an incredibly positive frame of mind.

On a more positive note, this year has already shown how quickly clubs' fortunes can turn around. Already we've seen Collingwood, the Kangaroos and even West Coast turn their fortunes around in the space of a week after pessimistic forecasts. I have no doubt we can do it, but I can’t remember when we used to dominate for weeks at a time.

We will never get the ride that Geelong, Hawks or in fact many Vic clubs get. But that is not our greatest problem. We would not even blink if we were playing in anyway decent footy. We are Port Adelaide and we have never had a smooth path to the top. Why expect it now?

Let us turn our disdain toward our problems and put pressure on our club to be competitive again. I don't want to sit here and complain about what we can't control in the AFL let us regain some control of our club.

FFS Port stop accepting mediocre performances, being screwed over by the AFL and stop trying to be the "nice guy". No one likes us. No one rates us. No one fears us and that is tragic.
